Dalma Ivanyi

The 2000 season was Dalma's 2nd season in the WNBA with the Utah Starzz.She had a much better
season this year than her rookie season and did a good job of stepping it when Jennifer Azzi was
injured with a broken hand.Ivanyi had a game high of 7 assits and a game high 4 steals over Utah's
win against Seattle 7/1/00.
Plays professionally in Hungary for MiZo-Pecsi VSK (PVSK).She led the team to the Hungarian Cup
and the National championship.Dalma also plays for the Hungarian National team which lost pretty
badly to the USA the last game they play them.
In college she was the 1998-1999 Sporting News Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year.The 1997-1998
Trans America Athletic Conference player of the Year.Also the 1996 TAAC Newcomer of the Year.
Dalma's smart too, she was a 2-time selection to GTE Academic All-District 111 Secound team 1998
and 1999.Ivanyi also led the NCAA in assits her senior year at FIU.(9.5 a game)(294 total)
Dalma'a nickname is "Dali".She started playing basketball when she was 4 and both her parents
played baketball.She said that she has alway's followed the Chicago Bulls.
People back in Hungary think she's a rebel or "someone with an attitude", because of her
americanized apperiance with her pigtails and baggy pants.
