The setlist consisted of all JLP songs, 2/3 unreleased songs, and 2/3 covers including an ABBA one, and the one where it goes, "We will, we will rock you". Alanis had on a white shirt with a blue and red head, black pants and, my other friend G says, Adidas Sambas. The reason we could actually see this was that we had binoculars.
Naturally all JLP songs were different than from how they were on the album. For most the intro was a little heavier, such as in "You Oughta Know" and "You Learn". And for some "ironic" reason (probably not at all) she started the show with "All I Really Want" (the first track on JLP) and ended with "Your House" (the last track on JLP). Naturally everyone sang along, except for the unreleased songs, covers and "Your House", which for some reason many people hadn't heard or something. If they didn't know the lyrics, they just clapped and screamed so everyone else couldn't hear the song.
When the show started, everyone stood up and you couldn't see where Alanis suddenly popped out from. The Araneta Coliseum has no backstage since it is also used, more commonly, for basketball games. The show ended at 10:15, and Alanis also just disappeared.
The two unreleased songs were "King of Intimidation" and "Can't Not". I guess she had to play "Can't Not" because the tour was called "Can't Not Tour Manila '96". Two concert shirts were available. One was white, on the front it had the four Alanis' in the "Ironic" vid. and it had her name, on the back it had her name with the faces shadowing it (hard to describe). The second (which I got) was black and on the front, with a red background it showed her in concert. The back had a lot of the tour dates (missing the ones in Australia and New Zealand, Laura noticed, since she's from there). If you have seen either of these shirts at a concert you went to, e-mail me at blakflower@usa.net
If you were lucky, a guy from Rain Malt Soda (one of the sponsors) passed out posters in our section only in the middle of "Wake Up". Everyone was grabbing them, and I got one.
