Subject: The Lovelies

Hey, Well yesterday I went to go see the band Fountains of Wayne.. and no there aren't any girls/grrrls in that band. But I was very happyly surprized when I saw that the frist opening band was fronted by two grrrls. One who plays Bass and sings some stuff, mostly backing vocals And one who plays guitar and sings most of the lead vocals. The drummer is a guy, but I concider them to be a grrrl dominated band. Anyways they RAWKED!! So after they were done with there set and the Nova Scoha bassed band Sloan caume out I went to the place where t shirts and stuff were being sold,.. and they had The Lovelies CD! So I bought it and as I started to walk back to where I was standing before There are Louisa and Liv(the two grrrls) So I go up to them and ask them to sign my cd so they both do and I told them they rawked on stage and they go "Thanks" and then Louisa(the bassist) says to me "So do you play anything?" and I say "Yeah I play guitar and piano" and Liv(the guitarist) says "Oh what kind of guitar" and I said "A Fender Strat" and she said that I should keep up with playing guitar but once I start doing shows that I should maybe switch to a Gibson or a PRS because they can take a lot more abuse then fenders can and they have a beter way of holding on to the stings and stuff but then they had to leave.
