Sim Rules/FAQ

If, after having read this, you still don't understand something here, be sure to e-mail me, or contact me on ICQ with any questions. (my ICQ # is 10824474) The best way to understand how the sim works is to go and see it for yourself. After you finish reading this, it's a good idea to go and see the sim and read the latest post so you can understand it better. There's a link to the sim at the bottom of this page.

Rules

1. No rude or obscene messages. We're all friends on the sim, let's try to keep it that way. Swearing is okay, but please keep it to a minimum. Anything I find offensive will be deleted.

2. No crossovers. If you don't know what crossovers are, check the FAQ section.

3. No God-Moding. Once again, if you don't know what that is, check the FAQ section.

4. Don't kill off someone else's main character. This only happens when either someone is leaving the sim or they want to switch characters, and they'll most likely do it themselves. If you want to kill off an NPC that somebody else made up, you still need to ask them for permission.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: What is a sim?

A: A sim is like a story that the members each make characters for. They write parts of the story, making it up as they go along, in which their characters interact with each other. The parts are numbered (Eg: Part 27, Part 28, etc.) and are written in any format you want, although the most popular is story format. Go check out the sim for an example.

Q: What are NPC's?

A: NPC's are Non-Player Characters. They can be made up by the members, as they usually are, but sometimes they are characters like Star Fox, Star Wolf, Andross, General Pepper, etc.

Q: What are crossovers?

A: Crossovers are when you take an aspect from another story (eg: The Force from Star Wars) and use it in the plot in the sim. This makes it very confusing, especially for people who don't know anything about whatever is being put into the story, and they make it move further and further away from being a Star Fox sim. I'm very strict on this rule since crossovers have messed up the sim in the past.

Q: What is God-Moding?

A: God-Moding is when you make your character invincible and kills all the enemies that get in their way, etc. Everyone gets hurt sometimes, you've got to be realistic. It ruins the sim for everyone else if you do this. Also, a form of God-Moding is if you have weapons that are so strong they could blow up a planet, take out an entire army, whatever. No weapons are that strong. Just be realistic as is possible in a Star Fox sim. : )
