A Dying Fox

by Avia Flyr

Three weeks after Avia had received the Cornerian Wing medal, her feet were fully healed and she was ready to fly. The only problem - she had no ship!

"Guys, what am I supposed to do? I know General Pepper is going to get me a new ship, but all the planets in the system will be clear by then at the rate you're going at!" Avia said at the hangar as the rest of the team got into their arwings.

"Don't worry, Avia," Fox said. "You'll get a new ship sooner than you think." he had the same smile on his face as everyone else.

Avia knew something was going on. She decided to beat him at his own game. "All right. So, where are you guys going?"

"Ummm..." Fox stuttered. "Well, we've gotta go. See you, Avia." Everyone left the hangar.

Avia laughed a little. "I wonder what they're planning."

"Is it finished yet?" Falco asked.

"Almost." answered a female lynx. "We're just testing it, making sure it's 100% safe."

"Sure, Lyn. When do you think it'll be done?" Peppy said.

"Probably by the end of today." she answered. "I can't wait to see Avia!"

"We should p-p-probably go g-g-get her now." said Slippy.

"Good idea. I'll make sure it's done by then." Lyn answered. She turned around to a jackal who was working on it. "How's it coming, Jason?"

"Pretty good. I can probably finish it in an hour." he replied.

"You had better go and get Avia now." Lyn said to the team. They all got in their arwings and sped off toward Great Fox.

'Won't they get some more magazines around here?' Avia thought, after having read the same issue of Cornerian Times over and over every single day for three weeks. Just then, she heard ships coming into the hangar. She walked down to see what had brought them back so early.

"Back so soon?" Avia asked, standing in the doorway.

"Avia, we've got a surprise for you!" Fox said.

"Really? A surprise for me? I never would have guessed!" Avia said sarcastically. They followed Avia into the rec room, where everyone sat down, except Fox, who told ROB to set a course for Corneria.

They landed and stepped out of Great Fox. "So, what's this big surprise you guys have for me?" Avia asked. Then Syra, Oski, Katt, Lyla (the cheetah on Syra's team who she had met after coming out of the hospital), and her friend Lyn walked over to her. "Lyn? Is that really you?" Avia asked.

"Avia! Great to see you!" Lyn said. "This is your big surprise." She pulled the sheet off of a black ship. It looked almost like a triangle. "The shape is almost undetectable by radar, it carries 15 nova bombs instead of 9, and the attacks are incredibly accurate."

"Falco d-d-designed it himself, m-m-mostly." Slippy said. Falco smiled.

"I don't know what to say," Avia said. "This is great! Thanks Lyn, Falco, everyone!"

"Don't mention it." said Lyn.

"We were planning on doing some stunt practice. Perfect time to test it out." Falco said.

"Let's go! I've been waiting to fly for over a month!" Avia shouted. They all jumped into their ships.

"Avia, one last thing that I decided to add." Lyn said. "AM/FM radio!"

"Cool! I always said my ship needed one of these. You know me too well." Avia said, then followed the rest of the team out of the hangar, listening to the radio and humming.

Back on Great Fox, Avia was making dinner, Peppy was reading the Cornerian Times magazine that had almost driven Avia insane, Slippy was playing solitaire on his laptop, and Falco and Fox were talking.

"Falco, I'm not going to stop bugging you until you admit you like Avia." said Fox.

Falco mumbled a little under his breath. "I'm never going to forgive you for making you say this, but fine, I like her. Happy now?"

"Actually, I am."

"Dinner's ready," Avia said, and everyone came to the table.

"Well, you guys know we're assaulting Venom tomorrow." Fox said. A little cheer broke out from everyone sitting around the table.

"Can't wait to really put my ship to the test." said Avia. She looked at Falco. "Great design."

"Designed for you." Falco said.

"Fox, no," Avia said under her breath. "No, come back, Fox!" Everyone on the team was woken up by a scream coming from Avia's room. Avia sat bolt upright. 'Hmm.' she thought, rubbing her hands together. 'Cold sweat.' She had been dreaming of Fox. He was fine, then went where no one could help him...

"Avia, a-a-are you o-o-okay?" Slippy asked as the team broke into the room.

"Yeah, I'm fine." she answered, shaking her head. "Just had a bad dream."

Later that day, the team arrived at Area 6. "We'd better stick together mostly on this one." Fox said. "Falco and Avia take the left, Slippy and Peppy take the right, and I'll go straight ahead. Report."

"Unit 1 here." Falco reported.

"Unit 2 h-h-here." Slippy reported after.

"Fox here. Let's go!" Fox shouted over the comm. They all began blasting enemies. Slippy was the first to get himself in trouble. Peppy saved him.

"C'mon, Slip! No time for gettin' in trouble!" said Peppy. Everything basically went well, and no one else had any problems. Just when everyone thought they were finished, they deployed their last defense.

"Great. Now we've gotta deal with this." Falco said.

"I'll take care of it." Fox said, as Peppy instructed him and Slippy encouraged him. Falco and Avia just flew around, the way it usually was. There was an explosion and everyone let out a cheer. "Hold on. We're entering Venom air space." Fox said, with excitement in his voice. They boosted toward Venom, and finally reached the atmosphere. Star Wolf was waiting for them.

"Avia Flyr? Back in action? And what is she flying?" Pyro asked.

"Ready and waiting to kick your ass, Pyro." Avia replied, as she shot at Pyro. "Nice design, wouldn't you say?"

"Just try and avoid this." Pyro said, locking on to Avia and shooting a bomb, which hit her directly.

"Guys, I could use some help! My shields are down to 70% and I can't shake him!" Avia said over the comm.

"Right here, Avia." Peppy said and bombed Pyro.

"Thanks, Peppy." Avia answered. Soon, everyone on Star Wolf was shot down. Slippy and Peppy had only one wing left, Fox was down to 53% shields, Avia was down to 55% shields, and Falco was down to 60% shields.

"I'll go it alone from here." Fox said, heading on alone.

"But Fox! Your shields are..." Peppy's words of wisdom were too late. Fox was gone.

Three hours later, Falco, Avia, Slippy and Peppy were still hovering around Venom. Then, a ship came out to them dragging another behind it.

"Oh my god! That's Fox!" Avia shouted as everyone gathered around Fox's ship. The other ship flew away before anyone could realize it. 'The dream,' Avia thought. 'I knew this would happen.'

"Great Fox, we need Fox's ship to be picked up. Now!" Falco ordered ROB.

In Great Fox's hangar, they took Fox out of his ship, gently, because he had broken his leg, then put him on the couch in the rec room.

"What should we d-d-do?" Slippy asked when they were on their way to Corneria.

"I know a thing or two about survival. It was my best subject when I was in training." said Avia. "First, we have to check his injuries so we know how bad his condition is. It looks like his leg and arm are broken. He's got some pretty bad wounds on his arms, legs, and a real bad one on his chest. He's got a concussion too. Slippy, get some wet cloths. Peppy, take his arms, Falco, his legs and chest, and I'll set the bones. We'll have to leave the concussion for the hospital to take care of."

"Unconsious? Dying? How could that be?" Syra was frantic when she heard the news about Fox.

"Syra, don't worry. Fox isn't in stable condition, but we know he'll pull through. This is Fox we're talking about here!" Avia tried to be cheerful, but she wasn't even sure about her own words.

"I'll be at the hospital with Moon Deer as soon as I can. Syra out." Syra said, turning around to tell her team.

"How's Fox?" Avia asked Falco, who was walking by.

"Same as five minutes ago, when you asked me last." he answered. "Don't worry, Avia. He'll pull through."

"I know," said Avia. "But I can't help worrying. What if he doesn't?" A single tear ran down Avia's cheek. She wiped it away, trying to be as strong as everyone else.

"Don't cry. Avia, I worried the same about you and you're fine now. I'm sure Fox will be too." Falco tried to reassure her.

"But Falco, I knew this would happen. Remember when I had that dream and woke up screaming?" Avia asked. Falco nodded. "I dreamed that Fox was shot down on Venom. I knew it would happen and I didn't do anything! I just let it!"

Falco paused. "It's just a coincidence. It's not your fault at all."

"Thanks, Falco. Can I go and see him?" asked Avia.

"Not now. The doctors said they want to examine him. They also said that you did a great job setting his broken bones." Falco replied. Just then, Syra burst through the door.

"Is Fox all right? Can I see him?" Syra asked.

"Calm down, Syra." Falco told her. "We're not allowed to see Fox right now."

Syra looked as if she would cry. Avia decided to have a private talk with her friend. "Syra, he'll be fine. You might feel better if you talked to Peppy. He's trying to get in touch with Fox telepathically. It'll be easier for him to do that with Fox than it was for me, because I was fighting back as hard as I could. Fox is relaxed. He might even let you talk to Fox." Avia said.

"All right. Where is he?" Syra asked.

"Great Fox. Just knock on the door to his room." Avia answered.

"Thanks. Do you want to come too?" Syra said.

"No thanks. I'm talking with Falco." Avia said, with a little smirk on her face. Syra laughed and headed to Great Fox.

Syra knocked on the door. "Peppy, it's Syra. Can I come in?"

Peppy opened the door. "Yes?"

"Avia said I should come to talk to you." she said.

"Worried about Fox? We all are. Come in." Peppy walked back into his room and Syra shut the door after her. He had a mat laid out on the floor and incense burning. He laid out another mat across from his own. "Sit down." Syra sat down after Peppy.

"So what do we do?" Syra asked.

"You have to reach out to Fox. You know him. I'll guide your thoughts when I contact him." Peppy said with his eyes closed.

Syra took a deep breath and reached out to Fox. 'Fox? Are you there?'

'Syra, keep on a direct channel to Fox. You are broadcasting to everyone within this area. I can hear you.' Peppy told her telepathically. 'I've contacted him.' Syra felt her thoughts being guided to Fox.

'Fox?' Syra asked.

'Who is it?' Fox asked.

'Syra and Peppy.' Syra replied.

'Syra? Why are you talking to me? I can understand Peppy, but how did you manage to contact me?' thought Fox.

'She's telepathic too, Fox.' Peppy answered.

'Really? Well, what's happening to me? Where am I? All I can see is darkness.' Fox thought.

'You're in a coma. You were rescued by an unknown ship with serious injuries. Avia told us what to do. Without her, you might be dead by now.' thought Peppy.

'How's she taking this?' Fox asked.

'Better than most.' Peppy thought. 'She did cry a little, but Falco is talking with her and she feels better now.'

'I knew it.' Fox mentally laughed.

General Pepper walked in the door. "What happened to McCloud? All I heard was that he is injured."

Falco and Avia saluted. "He was shot down on Venom after going on alone, sir." Falco answered.

"That's the McCloud independence. It's a commendable virtue, but it gets them into trouble." General Pepper sighed, remembering Fox's father. "Can I see him?"

"I think you're allowed to now. I'll ask the staff." Avia turned around and asked the leopard behind the main desk if they were allowed to see Fox McCloud. "They say he's in better condition and you can see him now." They all went in to see Fox. Avia, Falco, and General Pepper looked at him with pain in their eyes.

"Is he going to make it? He looks bad." General Pepper asked.

"They don't know for sure, but we know he will." Falco said, looking at the General, then Avia.

"I'm just glad he's not in pain." Avia said. "I think I'll leave." she walked out of the room and sat down on one of the chairs outside. Her plumage was looking a little green.

"Avia, you all right?" Falco asked and sat down beside her.

"Just seeing Fox like that..." she didn't know how to react.

"It's all right. It'll heal." Falco told Avia.

"Thanks, Falco. I don't know what I'd do without you. But I think I'll go back to Great Fox. I need to relax a little." Avia said, walking to Great Fox.

"Hey, what are you guys doing here?" Avia asked Oski, Lyla, and Katt back on Great Fox.

"We heard Syra was here. We want to tell her that she can visit Fox." Oski said.

"Oh. She's in Peppy's room. I'll get her." Avia knocked on the door to Peppy's room.

"Come in." Peppy's voice came from inside the room.

Avia opened the door. "Moon Deer is waiting for Syra."

"Why? We don't have to go for hours." Syra replied.

"They want to tell you that you can visit Fox now." Avia said.

"Oh, I'll go visit him. Thanks for telling me that." Syra said. Syra started off in the direction of the hospital.

"Peppy, I came here to see you, if you don't mind." Avia said.

"I don't mind. Go ahead." he replied.

"Well, I just need to relax. All this has gotten me very stressed out." Avia said, closing the door behind her.

"You should go back to your room and read." he told her.

"All we have is a Cornerian Times magazine." Avia said, thinking of the long hours she had spent reading it.

Peppy handed her a book. "Read this. It's one of my favorites."

Avia went back to her room and sat down on her bed. She started the book. "I feel better already."

TWO WEEKS LATER

Fox's condition is getting worse, and no one thinks he'll make it. Syra has been sitting over Fox's bed crying, Peppy has spent less and less time out of his room, and Slippy has been going through his photo albums and looking at pictures of Fox. General Pepper visited the hospital more and more, Falco and Avia were growing closer together, and Oski, Katt and Lyla have been spending a lot of time on Great Fox since their leader was in no condition to fight.

'Fox, please say you're there!' Syra had gotten a lot better at telepathy than she used to be, but she couldn't get a response from Fox. Tears were streaming down her face. 'Fox!' she called out to him with all the effort she had. She heard a very weak signal.

'Syra?' Fox's voice was so faint she could barely hear it.

'Fox, you're all right! Everyone's been so worried!' Syra thought to him. 'I'm going to try to bring you back.'

'How?' Fox asked.

'Just let me take your consciousness. I'll do the rest.' she replied. She felt Fox's faint strength in her control, and she tried to bring it back to the surface. 'Almost there. Just hang on, Fox.'

Fox's eyes slowly opened. "Syra?" he said in a weak voice.

"Fox!" she cried out. 'Peppy, I did it.' she thought to Peppy.

'I knew you would.' Peppy thought proudly.

"You saved my life. No one else could have." he said. "How long have you been crying?"

"Since your condition went unstable. A week." Syra answered.

"I'm sorry I caused everyone so much pain. Speaking of pain, could I get some painkillers?" Fox said. Syra got him some painkillers, then rushed outside to tell everyone the news.

"Fox is conscious!" She yelled out to the people there, Falco, Avia and General Pepper. They all came rushing into the room.

"Fox?" Avia was crying as much as Syra. "You're all right!"

"Welcome back, buddy." Even Falco looked as if he was holding back tears.

"McCloud. Good to see you awake again." General Pepper tried not to show his emotion, but it was obvious he cared for Fox.

"I'll go tell the staff that he's all right." Avia left the room and headed to the main desk.

Falco called Great Fox on the comm. Oski answered it. "Oski?"

"Yep, Oski here. What's the news?" the shark asked.

"Fox is conscious again!" Falco told him.

"But I thought he was almost...nevermind. I'll go tell everyone here. Hold on a minute." Oski told Lyla and Katt, who were sitting in the rec room, then went to Peppy and Slippy's rooms. For the first time in a week, Slippy actually came out of his room.

"F-f-falco? Is F-f-fox going t-t-to be okay?" he asked.

"Fox just woke up and the doctor says it can only get better from here." Falco answered.

"C-c-can I go and s-s-see him?" said Slippy.

"Sure. Why not?" Falco said. "Maybe everyone should come. Moon Deer should leave soon."

"I'll rally up the team. We'll go see Fox, but then we'd better get on our way." Oski said. They all went to the hospital to visit Fox.

"Fox, how are ya feeling, hon?" Katt asked at the hospital.

"Fine, since the painkillers just kicked in." Fox replied.

"How long do you have to stay here? They know you'll be fine." Lyla asked.

"They said I should stay here for at least a week. They need to make sure the wounds heal up properly."

"As much as I'd love to stay and chat, I haven't been able to fly for two weeks and I gotta get back up there." Oski said.

"You're right." Syra said. "We'd better get on our way. It was great seeing you, Fox."

"Can I talk to Syra alone for a minute?" Fox asked and Moon Deer walked out of the room. "Syra, I just want to tell you how thankful I am."

"Oh, Fox-" Syra was interrupted.

"No, really. If there's anything you ever need, I'll be there with the team. I owe you my life." Fox said sincerely.

"Thanks, Fox." she hesitated. "Well, I guess I'd better get going. See you." Syra said as she walked out the door.

"So, what was Fox talking to you about?" Lyla said in an all-too-sweet voice.

Syra did a cartwheel. "He likes me, he likes me!" she chanted.

The alarm went off and Avia pounded it with her fist. She yawned and rubbed her eyes. "My turn to watch Fox." she said. The Star Fox team had been taking turns staying at the hospital all day and all night. She got dressed and sped off to the hospital on her Land Glider. It had been Falco's turn and he was asleep in the waiting room when she came in. She woke him up.

"Avia? Oh, your turn, right?" he asked.

"Yep, it's my turn." Avia told him.

"I think I'll stay for a while." he said.

"How's Fox doing?" Avia asked.

"Look at this." Falco said, showing Avia a file full of charts. "Here, Fox was barely even alive, and then in that same minute, he was restored to full health."

"I've never heard of anything like that ever happening!" said Avia.

"I know. Neither has anyone else here. It's a miracle." Falco said.

"Syra might have something to do with it. She was in there with him the whole time." Avia suggested.

"Or Peppy. I know he was trying to telepathically contact Fox." Falco said. "I'll ask Peppy, you ask Syra." They each got on the comm. They both found out what really happened.

"You mean you brought Fox back with the telepathy Peppy taught you?" Avia asked.

"She's a natural telepath? She brought Fox back using her powers?" Falco asked. Falco and Avia switched off their com-links.

"Is it just me, or have we entered the twilight zone?" Avia asked.

"Fox is well thanks to telepathy. I wish things would just be normal around here every once in a while." Falco said.

Avia sighed and sat down. "Well, do you still want to stay, or what? Things are getting pretty strange around here."

"I'll stay." Falco said and sat down next to her. "Star Wolf could try the same thing they did on you. Might need some backup."

"I'll go check up on Fox." Avia went into Fox's room. "How are you feeling, Fox?"

"Well, I'll be fine if you hand me that." Fox said, pointing to some painkillers. Avia did, and Fox took them. "So, I see you've been talking with Falco."

"So?" Avia said, hoping Fox wouldn't trap her in a corner.

"You like him, don't you." Fox said, getting to the point.

"Umm, well..." Avia found it hard to lie to Fox.

Fox chuckled. "I did the same thing to him."

"Oh?" Avia said. "What did he say?"

"He likes you, Avia. You know it too." Fox replied. "You like him. Admit it."

"This is exactly what you did to him, isn't it?" Avia asked. "He wouldn't give in too easily. I know what's good for me. I'll just tell you now. I like him." Syra happened to walk in just as she said that.

"No longer a secret, is it now?" she said. Syra was, after all, the first one she ever admitted it to. "Does Falco know?"

"Maybe, but I haven't told him." Avia waited for that day. She sighed. "Well, I suppose you two want to be alone."

Syra didn't care much. She was more of the direct type. "Yes, could you leave?" Avia left Fox and Syra to talk. "Well, Fox, how are you feeling?"

"You don't have to keep asking me that. You know I feel fine." Fox answered.

"What were you talking about with Avia? Other than Falco, of course." Syra asked.

"Not really anything. What have you been up to?" Fox asked.

"Just cruising around Zoness. Mostly, though, I've been thinking about you." Again, Syra was the direct type.

"Syra, I don't know what to say..." Fox was interrupted by Leon's voice.

"Stop it! you're making me sick." Leon fired his laser at them.

Outside the room Avia was flirting with Falco, when they heard Fox shout, "Syra! Get down!" They got up and burst into the room. Syra was sitting behind the bed for cover, and Fox was a sitting duck. At the sight of Leon, Avia felt a cold chill run down her spine. Those two and a half weeks in a cold, dark, damp room chained to the wall with Leon torturing her had scarred Avia for life. Avia staggered and reeled back at the memory.

"Avia!" Falco reached out and Avia fainted into his wings. Syra and Fox shot Leon and Andrew, then Wolf called a retreat and he and Pigma carried out Andrew and Leon.

"What happened to Avia?" Syra asked.

"She just fainted. I'm taking her to a doctor." Falco carried Avia down the hall and Avia was examined. There was nothing wrong with her, and they said it was triggered by something that occurred the moment she fainted. "Leon. He's done more than we thought. He'll pay for that." Falco laid her out on a couch in the waiting room.

"Leon, no!" Avia opened her eyes. She blocked her face as if from an attack.

"Avia, it's all right. It's just me."

"Falco?" Avia shook her head. "What happened?"

"Fox and Syra were attacked by Star Wolf, we came to help, and you fainted as soon as you saw Leon." Falco explained. "I told everyone on Star Fox, then Peppy thought General Pepper might want to know for some reason, so I told him."

'How does Peppy know? I've kept that secret locked away so long, I didn't think he could reach it.' Avia looked at her watch. "0:00? Shouldn't you have left hours ago?"

"I'm allowed to stay, aren't I?" Falco asked.

"Well, yes." Avia leaned back on the couch and soon she and Falco were both asleep.

The next morning, Slippy came in to the hospital. He sat down on the chair across from the couch where Falco and Avia were asleep. Syra walked in shortly after him.

"Well isn't that cute? The two lovebirds!" Syra said. "Might as well wake them up." She shook them awake. "You guys overslept. It's 07:00."

Avia opened her eyes and yawned. "We didn't sleep in that late."

"Yeah, considering we didn't get to sleep until midnight." Falco added.

"All right, all right. Can I see Fox?" Syra asked.

"Romance is in the air." Falco said.

"Yeah. Yours." Syra said, closing the door to Fox's room behind her. Avia giggled a little at the look on Falco's face.

"Falco, I'm going back to Great Fox. Slippy can take over here for a while, and I think I need to talk to Peppy about that Leon thing." Avia said.

"I'll come too." Falco said. They went back to Great Fox on their Land Gliders. The first thing Avia did was change out of the clothes she had been wearing for two days. Then, she went to the rec room where Peppy was reading.

"Peppy, I need to talk to you. I need help with my worst fear." Avia said.

"What would that be?" Peppy asked after he had led her into his room.

"Leon Powalski. Those days when he was torturing me - well - scarred me for life. Every time I see him, I just collapse. Just thinking about him runs cold chills down my back." Avia told Peppy everything she knew.

Peppy thought for a moment. "I think you can get over this if you go into therapy. It'll take only a few weeks to get over this, knowing you. Our first session starts now." Avia and Peppy had their first therapy session. They would be once a day, lasting an hour.

Falco was still sitting in the rec room. "I am so bored!" he said. "What can I do? Avia and Peppy are at therapy, Fox is hospitalized, Slippy is visiting him, and Moon Deer is flying around on Zoness." He sighed. "I know! I'll go to Zoness. I can get some action there, and maybe they'll need some help." he scribbled a note and left it on the table. Falco then went to the hangar and flew off to Zoness.

"Hey! Where's Falco?" Avia asked. "I can't find him anywhere!"

"He left a note." Peppy read the note. "It says he went to Zoness."

"Zoness? Why?" Avia asked. Peppy handed her the note. "Oh, he was bored. I'll go after him." Avia ran down to the hangar and jumped in the Nighthawk. She zoomed off to Zoness, listening to the radio.

"Hi, Falco. Been a while since I've gotten to talk to ya, without that Avia girl hangin' around." said Katt.

"Katt, ah, I hate to break it to you, but Avia and I are, um, dating." Falco said. 'I hope this works.' he thought.

There was a long pause, then Avia broke into the atmosphere. "Falco, why did you go deserting us like that?" she asked. Katt started to attack Avia's ship. "Katt, what do you think you're doing?"

"I just told her we're dating." Falco said.

"Oh, I'm sorry, Katt." Avia caught on right away. "I didn't know you had a thing for him." Then, on a private line to Falco, "What am I supposed to do about Katt?"

"I know you can outfly her with your wings behind your back. Shoot her until she surrenders, but don't shoot her down." Falco replied.

Avia did exactly that. She injured Katt's ship with ease. She brought Katt down to her last shields. "Katt, if you know what's good for you, surrender! I don't want to kill you, so don't force me to. We're not even on opposing sides." Avia said.

"You're right. I don't want to fight with someone on Corneria's side. But when did you start dating?" Katt asked.

Falco and Avia both stuttered a little, then Falco answered, "Last week."

Their conversation was interrupted by an enemy voice over the comm. "Moon Deer, get out of Zoness if you know what's good for you. We're taking over this planet."

"Pyro Balok!" Syra exclaimed.

"And a whole lotta Venomians!" Oski shouted when he saw the huge wave of fighters behind him. "Guys, let's get a move on!"

"It looks like Venom's got its whole arsenal here!" Falco said.

Avia noticed Moon Deer was starting to leave, one by one. "Falco, let's go before we get fried!" Falco and Avia boosted away from Zoness as all the fighters settled on the surface. "So, where are you going to go now, Moon Deer?"

"I don't know." Oski said. On their way to Corneria where Great Fox was docked, they passed a very inviting planet.

"Okay, team. That's our new home." Syra said, and Moon Deer changed course for Katina.

THE END

I'm actually thinking of writing more than 3 in this series. Now I have 2, I still have to write the 3rd. I've actually come to enjoy writing these stories, so I'll write one when I feel like doing something and I'm bored. I'll say again, if you want to use anyone on Moon Deer except Katt, you have to ask me and I'll ask them, then I'll tell you. If you want to use me, I'll be flattered, but you have to e-mail me about it. Also, I would like to thank Lyn for letting me use her in my story, and special thanks to Syra for helping me with two lines of dialogue. It may not seem like much, but I couldn't have moved the plot along without it. Thanx so much, Lyn and Syra!
