One year and two months ago I was given a computer and access to the Internet as a Christmas present. I was immediately "hooked" to both the net and to computing; from zero interest to a passion that terrible day forward.

As a result, I have studied computers and the way they work with great gusto. I have enrolled in ZDUniversity to take courses in computing, I read, I buy magazines and I chat with users. I have studied DOS and VBasic, Java and HTML, PhotoShop and Adobe Systems.

Finally, after all this time, I am pleased to say that I finally have grasped the way a computer operates. Because so many other people have trouble with the basic concepts, I am going to share the results of my intensive studies. I think that's only fair to my friends who ask me questions.
