Marina Anissina and Gwendal Peizerat were both World Junior medallists--but with different
partners. Marina originally skated with Ilia Averbukh, and Gwendal with Marina Morel. When both
partnerships broke up (Averbukh to skate with Irina Lobacheva, and Morel retiring), Anissina sent
several letters to her top prospects for a new partner, and Peizerat responded. They began skating
together in 1993.
