Scout Oath and Law

           Scout Oath

On my honor, I will do my best, to do my duty,
to God and my Country, and to obey the scout Law.
To help other people at all times.
To keep myself physically strong,
Mentally awake and morally straight.

           Scout Law

A Scout is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly,
Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave,
Clean and Reverant.

What is Troop 177?

Troop 177's main goal is to have fun.
We find that most people learn things
better if they have fun doing them.
That's why we arrange most of our
activities in the great Outdoors,
because that is what scouting is all
about. Going camping, hiking, sledding,
rappeling, swimming, and much more!
Your advancement depends upon you!
But we do ask that you be the best
that you can be. Participation in
group activities means you may have
to do some work, and carry your own
load. Every scout is asked to have a
Boy Scout handbook and Requirement
handbook. We also ask that every scout
look at purchasing their own tent,
although the troop has many for you to
use, we feel this gives the scout more
responsibility to watch out for them self.
You must have a "Class A" official scout
uniform. You can also purchase the
"Class B" troop T-Shirt which says
I Love You Man, But Don't Touch My Tent.
The t-shirts are great for messing around
in. Especially when we go caving or any
other outdoor activities.
Troop 177, it is an ADVENTURE!!
