What does Nick like to do when he goes out with a girl?
     "Just have fun. Since we're always on the go
and never around one place to long, I like to make the most 
of the time together with a date."


 Nick says that it's amazing for him to see his records
on the shelf, and how he can't walk into any record store
without being bombarded. He says:
     "It is suprising, but really cool."


     "Everyone wants a girl with a perfect personality. To me,
it doesn't matter how she looks."


     "We would be the worst boyfriends in the world,
although we are all basically nice guys."


     "We always get asked about the competition thing
with Hanson. We have a completely different sound
than they do. We also have a completely different
image and besides, we are not rivals. We have 
never been rivals."


     "I love Basketball, and enjoy watching Football."


     "I don't really cook; I love pizza and seafood."


     "I like to go to the movies or walk on the beach
at nighttime."


     "I'm shy, funny, and sometimes childish."


     "Have I ever been in love? I think so."
  

     "My special girl would be one with a lot of personality 
who would enjoy the same hobbies as me and like me for
the real me...not for being a Backstreet Boy."


     "When I was small, I accidentally locked myself in
a car. My mom got me out."


     "Sometimes I bite my nails."


     "I treat people the way I want to be treated,
and I try to keep my friendships intact when I'm gone."


     "I was dancing onstage with my fly undone!"


     "I really learned to respect people when my parents 
we're running a senior citizens' residence yearss ago."


     "If I wasn't in the business I would become a
Navy SEAL or join the Special Forces."


     "I daydream about being on my boat with a pretty 
girl and we're just drifting in the ocean."


     "The best thing about it ( traveling away from 
home ) was we got to experience while we were
young something a lot of people never get to do
in their whole lives. I was 15 when we first went 
to Europe."


     "It really doesn't matter to me what she looks like
 as long as she has a good personality and she's really
 nice. I don't care if she has blonde, dark, or even
 green hair! But she's gotta be independent and like 
herself and not care about what other people think."


     "Kids can be really hurtful and not even know it, and
 even though I remeber points when I'd get upset, I
 never quit because of what they said, because I knew
 what I wanted for myself."


     "I think we've done a lot of growing over the past
 year expecially, and our new album will definetely have
 a different sound to it than our first one did. The fans
 have to remember that we recorded 'Backsrteet Boys'
 back in 96 and 97, so that's two or three years ago
 depending on the song. I know I definetely sound 
different now than I did then."


     "I started in the group when I was 12 to 13. Now 
I'm 19...there's a big difference. I'm a lot more mature."


     "Basically I like to keep to myself, I've always been 
that way. It's the same thing about not taking off my
 shirt during our shows. My body is one of the few things
 that I have total control over. Age has nothing to do 
with the way I am, because in some countries in 
Europe, the drinking age is like 14 or 16 years old. If I
 wanted to go to the clubs and do that I could, but it's 
just not my sort of thing."


     "Our management took us to a higher level and 
what we wanna do now is grow even more. We're a
 lot happier now."


     "When we first started I was like 13, so there was 
a big difference between me and the next youngest,
 A.J., who was 16. But I've learned a lot over the 
years...how to communicate, how to be respectful and
 how not to be a pest, which I was when I was younger."


     "I like to get a laugh out of things...I was a prankster
 back then."


     "I'm a very quiet person. I consider myself a modern
 day hermit. I don't like to party. I'm happy if I'm in my
 hotel room just chillin'."


     "I play video games and sports with my friends. I go 
to the movies and drive around in my car."


     "I'm a real big fan of the beach and the ocean, so
 my place has just about everything to do with the ocean. 
It's on a small canal so I'm thinking about getting a boat."


     "I'm seeing somebody."


     "When I was in school I wasn't very attractive to 
girls in school. But I remember a girl I dated who was
 sweet and really kind. I've dated girls who might now
 have been that attractive, but they were just as kind
 and as sweet-hearted as anybody."
