This was 'Sandi's' third win in a row and the first Australian horse to win three consecutive Interdominion series. His trainer/driver/part owner Brian Hancock said 'he may not have been an out and out champion but he was consistenly the best of his time' Sandi retired aged 8, this year to stud duties in New Zealand where he was bred and with winnings of over $2.2million. His wins included 3 Interdominions, Trueuer Memorial twice, Miracle Mile, WestEnd Cup Sth Aust. West Aust.Cup, Australasian Pacing Championships, Ben Hur, and many more. He retired a 'true Aussie Champ' with a farewell tour of all the states of Australia so people could say a deserved goodbye to Our Sir Vancelot.





Two of Australia's best race mares fighting out finish of Victorian Sires Stakes '97 Outside is Concorde Lombo and on rails is Sheza Mona between them they have won over $2 million in stakes. Sheza Mona is now a mother of colt to Armbro Operative and Concorde Lombo was retired this year 1999 and is in foal to Northern Lights





This is New Zealand champion trotter Buster Hanover who has now won 2 Australasian Trotting Championships and and Interdominion





Revonez, 3yr old colt winning in Nz before being bought by Australian interests for over $50,000, has won 4 races since coming to Victoria, and has aquitted himself well against top 3yr old company in 1999.





The final few strides of the AG Hunter Cup 97 at Moonee Valley shows Try A Fluke winning his first Grand Circuit race beating the Grand Circuit performer Sovereign Hill.





This is Australia's own champ Knight Pistol winning the NZ Trotting Cup. His career started at the tender age of 10 and he has won 50 races and over $700,000 all in two years, including a race in Solvalla in Sweden beating "Gentle Touch" one of Europes best trotters.

Very Successful mare who won 2 Australasina Pacing Championships in a row in the 80's, now is a matron of the breeding barn.



A brilliant but ill fated pacer from New Zealand who swept all before him until a try at the Miracle Mile as 3yr old saw him collapse on the track, exhausted. He ran a game 2nd to Golden Reign in an Interdominion but sadly passed away at age 5



This horse bred in New Zealand was the all time best horse to race in Australia, he won numerous title and became the 1st ever million dollar pacer when he finished his career racing in USA

"Pauly" was a Victorian Derby winner and Sires Stakes as well as defeating Chokin in an Interdominion. He retired to stud this year with over a million in stakes winnings



This horse won back to back Inter Dominions and was nicknamed 'The Bathurst Bulldog' because that is the town he came from. He was renowned for his tenacity in races and was much loved by the people of New South Wales and the rest of Australia too.



Courage Under Fire (pic:aged 3yrs) S:In The Pocket D:Advance Debra. Winner of more than $1,000,000 and a record 6 Derbies. This pocket rocket affectionately known to his legions of fans as 'Mighty Mouse' took all before him in his 3yo season. He won 2 derbies in New Zealand before coming across the Tasman to take out the NSW, QLD, VIC and Australian Derby, all done with blistering speed by a horse no more than pony size. From 2000 he will take on open class horses on the Grand Circuit.
