The character Underdog was created by Joe Harris. Underdog was first aired from 1964 to 1966 on NBC. The show was then picked up by CBS from 1966 ot 1967. NBC reclaimed it from 1968 to 1973. The original series featured 'The Hunter' and 'The World of Commander McBragg.' When CBS took over the project it changed to 'The Go-Go Gophers.' Other characters that appeared later in the show were Klondike Kat, King Leonardo, Tooter Turtle, and Tennissee Tuxedo.
