Me: Hi. I was wondering. In Petz III, can Hexed breedz be imported?

Her Reply: Actually, they can be, but they will revert to the original breed*. It is not recommended since once the files have been hacked, they become unstable and will likely cause problems within the new Petz 3 program.

Me: Okay, thank you.

*Their original breed, is, say, at Sara's Petz Homepage, she made a Malamute. She made the Malamute out of the Great Dane, so the Malamute would be reverted back to the Great Dane.

Hey all! I've got some new news for ya! I just got an E-Mail from PF.Magic, and I got some more information! Below is the ENTIRE E-Mail, so read it, and learn more stuff about Petz III!

To everyone who wrote about Dogz 3 and Catz 3:

Wow! I just came back from E3 - the big tradeshow in Atlanta where we unveiled Dogz 3 and Catz 3 - to find my mailbox overflowing with emails from all of you asking about our newest families of Petz! I can't respond to everyone individually - so I wrote this email hoping that all your questions would be answered.

PETZ 3 RELEASE DATES... Dogz 3 and Catz 3 will be unleashed in the Fall (probably September or October) of this year. They will be available thru our direct hotline (1-800-48-ADOPT), and our online store, as well as in all software retailers. If you are a registered Petz owner - you will hear about the release date first...so register now. You can register through the Electronic Registration program on your Petz CD-Rom - or online at http://www.petz.net We are trying to unleash the Petz all around the world this Fall - if you're not in the US, please check back for release date information.

And YES! we will have demo downloads for all of you who want to pet and play with the Dogz and Catz before adopting your own!

YOU CAN IMPORT ALL YOUR CURRENT PETZ INTO PETZ 3! You will be able to bring all of your currently adopted Petz into the new programs - where they will be able to have new places to play - and new friends and toyz. So, keep downloading, training and playing with all of the Petz now!

More Petz Than You Can Shake A Stick At?

All you pet lovers out there, here comes another round of Dogz and Catz. Those lovable, huggable, adorable animals with some amazing personality are back and this time, they're bringing offspring.

This was the first time I've seen, or even heard of the sequel and I was very impressed. I've been a fan of the first two and the new version looks to take the series closer to owning a true pet. There are three new additions to this series and any fan will love what they're putting in.

First of all, the petz can now breed provided you have the correct sexes and animal. Lead designer, Alan Harrington, told me that even he can't wait to see the different kinds of puppies and kittens because he doesn't know what to expect. Just like Creatures, the genetic encoding in each animal will determine what the offspring are like. For example, if the female has a tendency to sneeze a lot, there's a greater chance the offspring will inherit that trait. It'll be interesting to see the variety of petz that show up on the Internet and passed around, especially in the later generations. 10 breeds of Catz and 10 breeds of Dogz will ship initially with the product so you'll be able to create some very interesting offspring. The mother will always accompany the baby initially until they're old enough so a total of three petz can be on the screen at once.

Watching the young ones play and walk will have any pet lover oooing and awwing over their actions. They're just so **** cute!

Secondly, Petz 3 will provide virtual environments for your pets to play in. The four "play scenes" range from the Family Room, the Living Room, the Kitchen, and the Beach. The environments will be highly interactive for you and your pets. Little things like faucets that run, cupboards where you can store treats, and other features help enrich the environments that your pets occupy. No more playing with your pets on static backgrounds.

Finally, there's new toys and clothing for your dogs and cats. You can now dress up your pet in some really funny clothes. You have to see one of your animals wearing sunglasses, it's a hoot! Some of the other clothing accessories you can personalize your pets are sweaters, shorts, bows, hats, and socks. Some only come with Dogz while others are only available with Catz so if you want a good variety, get both products.

As with the previous version, the programs will be expandable through the Internet. Not only can you download new breeds and toys, there will be modules that will make the program even more fun. New species such as pigs and ferrets will be made available while a module to "fetch" your e-mail will also be released. By far the best module in my opinion is the voice recognition technology to talk to your animals. If you're having trouble training your dog to do tricks with your voice, maybe you'll have better luck with this one. Alan Harrington showed me an early version of the module that worked really well. Speaking into the mic, I watched the dog play dead as I shouted, "Bang!" A simple "Roll over." in the mic and the dog proceeded to perform the trick. "Good boy!", I said and watched the dog smile and wag its tail at me, knowing that it did well. Talk about interactivity!

The third incarnation of the series will provide backwards compatibility so you can import your old dogs and cats from either Petz or Petz II. Petz II looks to increase its popularity with a great sequel and I wouldn't doubt it if this becomes another big seller for PF. Magic. With Mindscape backing them now, Petz 3 will surly be on the computers of many users who want to own a pet, but don't want the hassles of one. Look for Petz 3 in stores in the fall.

I went to a web site, and I saw the best news I've ever seen! Petz III is coming!!!!!! That's right! Petz III!

In Petz III, you can creat an actual Petz family! That's right! No more pretend breeding! You can take out your favorite male and female Dogz (or Catz!), and the parents can have a litter!

New born puppiez or kittiez pick up traits from their parents, and look like them, too! The pupz also look and like their brothers and sisters! Isn't that cool? I think so! Make your own breedz for trading, by breeding two different breedz of Dogz or Catz!

Dogz III comes with 10 Dogz breedz, and Catz III comes with 10 Catz breedz!

Lotsa new "enviornments" for your Petz to be in! Like, A Backyard, the Family Room, the Living Room, the Kitchen, and the Beach! Those all have new toys and treats for your Petz to play (and eat) with!

A brand new thing for the Petz are: Clothes! Real clothes, not painted on "shirts" or "jeans"! You can have bows, shirts, shorts, pants and sweaters! Some of the things are different with each program, so buy 'em both for new stuff!

Petz III can even play together, just like in Petz II!
