RING! RING! RING!
Beth groaned, and rolled over to pick up the phone. "Hello, can I kill you because you woke me up?" she said groggily.
"Are you STILL sleeping? WAKE UP!!!!!" Zac screeched in her ear, causing Beth to drop the phone.
"Jeez, Zac, if you yell again I'm going to make sure you can never use those vocal cords ever again". He yelped, and she could her him yelling "Tay! Take over! She's gonna kill me!"
Laughing, Taylor picked up the phone. "You're still in bed?!" he asked curiously. "And do you have a problem with that?" she replied. "What time is it anyway?" she continued, not bothering to look up at the clock on her wall. "Almost noon. Time for a certain Beth to get up." He said, teasingly.
"Oh be quiet." she replied indignantly. "Me and Ike and Zac are coming over. A half hour sound good?" Tay asked. "Yeah, just let yourselves in. God knows I won't get the shower till then." she remarked ruefully. Taylor laughed. "Okay, see you then. Bye!" "Bye!"
Beth hung up and made a mad dash for the shower. Surprisingly, no one was in sight. Beth peered around the corner and saw 3 lumps eating breakfast infront of the tv, fully clothed and decent. She tiptoed back to the bathroom, took her time in the shower, and quickly got dressed.
"And how is everyone this lovely morning?" Ike's voice boomed, opening the screen door. "Quite well, actually." Melissa said, looking up from the hypnotizing television show. "Ooo cartoons!" Zac yelled, and him and Jeff lept over the couch and positioned themselves infront of the tv.
"Psst..where's Beth?" Ike whispered to Mary. "I think she's drying her hair or something in her room." Mary replied, eyes glued to the tv screen. "Uh, thanks." Ike quickly jogged down the hallway, where he could hear Beth's stereo blasting Save Ferris. "Lies, to decieve, so many lies, so many lies I can't belie-Oh, hi Ike." she said, turning the volume down. Her hair was still wet, but beginning to curl at the bottom. "Your hair is curly?" Ike asked, surprised. Beth rolled her eyes. (believe it or not everyone, this is true!!) "Yeah, but it's so hard to manage, I just pull it back into a ponytail so it will dry straight." she said, picking up a brush from the dresser. "But yous doesn't really get a kink in it like mine!" he said, confused. Beth looked at the expression on his face and laughed. "I'll show you what to do. Go wet down your hair." With a curious smile Ike walked to the bathroom and splashed some water on his hair.
When he came back, Beth sat him on her bed and stood behind him, brushing it. "Your hair is the coolest color, Isaac. All I can get mine to be is an orange-brownish color." she commented. "I think your hair looks copper-gold in the sun, though." he replied sweetly. She smiled, and blowdried his hair, making sure it was just a little bit wet still before tying it back. "There ya go. All done." she remarked, tapping him on the head with the back of her hairbrush. "Well, should we go see what the couch potatoes are doing?" he asked, grinning. "Yes, it's such a nice day. We should all go outside." She took his arm as they walked into the living room.
