"Well Tay, what's up?" Jeff said, curiously. "Since tomorrow is the girls' last day, I think we should give them a kind of party or something. Something memorable." Taylor started slowly. "How about along the lines of a romantic picnic on the beach, with music and stuff." Jeff suggested to him. Taylor turned to his cousin and smiled. "You know," he said slowly, "That is a great idea! We can talk to Beth and Mary's parents, and I'm sure they could keep them occupied for a few hours. How about Ike and I go talk to them now?" "Sure! I'll go tell Zac our plans." Jeff replied, and sped down the beach. Contentedly, Tay strolled along the beach, heading for the Theobald's.
About five minutes later, Taylor was knocking on the Theobald's screen door. He heard Kathy yell "Come in!" and he gingerly stepped inside. "Oh, hello Taylor. What can I do for you?" Kathy asked him with a smile. "Well Mrs. Theobald, since everyone was leaving tomorrow, me and my cousin Jeff have a little plan for an appropriate goodbye." he said. "What are you planning?" "Well, we were going to have a picnic on the beach for the 8 of us, and we were wondering if you could keep the girls occupied till around seven-thirty or eight tomorrow night so we can set up." Kathy laughed and gave Taylor a warm smile. "Sure Tay, I think me and Pat could arrange that." A wave of relief washed over Taylor. "Thanks, Mrs. Theobald. And remember, it's a secret!" Kathy gave him a wink and replied "Don't worry, they'll never know what hit them."
