"Hey Ami, do you see that?" Beth squinted and pointed down the beach. Mary and Melissa looked as well. They could see little lights over by the water. "Let's check it out." As they grew closer, they could make out the outlines of Isaac, Taylor, Zac, and Jeff. Beth's eyes widened, as she saw the picnic blankets spread out on the beach. Isaac looked up and smiled. She walked over to him, and he stood up. "What is this for?" she said, looking at the 3 other girls. "We thought it would be the best way of ending the week. Hopefully it will keep our minds off of tomorrow." Beth smiled, and gave him a soft kiss. "Thank you, for everything." she replied. They went to sit down onto the blanket and enjoy the tea Isaac made, when lighting lit up the sky. "Dammit!" Issac yelled, scooping up the blanket and Beth grabbed the food. The teenagers' happy moods washed away as the rain started to pour down ontop of them. Hurriedly, they ran down the beach back to the Hansons' beach house.
When Isaac slammed the door shut behind them, Diana walked into the room, a surprised but sypathetic look on her face. "Sorry kids. I guess this will have to be an indoor party. Hang on, let me get you some towels."
"I'm sorry about this guys, I really am. I should've watched for weather forcasts or something...." Isaac trailed, a sad look on his face. Beth came over and put her hand on his shoulder. "None of this was your fault. No one could've known."
As the teenagers talked late into the night, Beth and Ike seperated themselves from the group. "Ike, after tomorrow, promise me you'll never forget about me, or any of us. Please." Ike looked into Beth's eyes and took her hand. "Never. I'll call you next time we're even remotely by Cleveland. Okay?" She faintly smiled, and he squeezed her hand. "Never...."
