"Come on, Zac! Hurry! We are late!" Ike yelled, running across the sand. Jeff and Taylor were right behind, and Tay shouted "We are almost there!" They saw a girl in sandals with a light blue sundress on walking out onto the beach. ***Author's note-- I know I never wear dresses you specifiers, but, oh well--*** She sat down on the shoreline, with her feet in the wet sand. 'That's Beth!' Ike thought. "You guys go, in I'll be right there." he said to Tay, Zac, and Jeff. He walked over to Beth. *********** *********** Beth sat on the sand, gazing at the sun, her eyes slightly filled with tears. 'If only this had never happened. I'm so emabarrased....' she thought, when she felt a hand rest on her shoulder. She looked up, and saw none other than Ike Hanson looking right back at her. "Oh, hi." She said loking down. "Mind if I join you?" he asked. Beth looked at him and smiled. "I am really sorry we were so late. Zac was hogging the bathroom in Tay's opinion, and Jeff was trying to find something to wear...." he trailed. "It's okay, I mean, we all do that sometimes." she replied. "My sister didn't believe us. I want to see the look on her face now." she added, and Ike laughed. *********** *********** Ike sat down next to her and sighed. "So, how long are you going to be here?" Beth asked him. "Two weeks. You?" "Same here." she replied. There was silence for a second, and Beth softy started singing "I wonder why I love you like I do, and I hope that you will love me too......" (Private Joke). "What song are you singing?" he asked. "Well, I really don't know, but some kids sang it at the high school I'm gonna be going to. The Viva-la-four." she said. "Cool. I cried a tear, for nobody but you...." Ike sang. Beth laughed and joined him. "i'd be a lonley one if you should say we're through. So if you want to make me cry, that won't be so hard to do. And if you want to say good bye, I'll still go on loving you. Each night I ask the stars up above, why must i be a teenager in love...." they sang, looking up at the stars. Beth felt a hand on her shoulder, and looked up. "Well hello. we heard you singing. Mind if we join you?" Melissa said. "Sure, why not." Ike said, and Melissa, Zac, Tay, Ami, Mary, and Jeff sat down on the cool sand next to Beth and Ike. "What should we sing?" Taylor asked. "How about Madeline." Ami suggested, with a small smile on her face. "Amelia! You just want to sing that because it's your middle name!" Beth cried, laughing. "Nuh Uh, miss Elizabeth Lucille! Hey, it's a good song too!" Ami retorted, and everyone laughed. ***author's note- yes, that really IS our middle names. Who knew?*** "Okay ready? 1..2..3.. Out my window, a memory, I'm dying inside, I know it's the way it should be..." ***** Beth checked her watch. "Guys- it's 11:00. We'd better get back. God, almost five hours! My parents probably think we've left for Disney World!" she said. "yeah, we'd better go to. Meet us tomorrow, 11:00, and we'll try not to be late?" Ike pleaded. The 4 girls thought carefully. "Well, meet us at our house. 11:00's fine." Ami said. Everyone gave their hugs goodbye. "Bye, Ike, I'll see you tomorrow." Beth whispered in Isaac's ear as he gave her a hug. He smiled, and gave her a small kiss on the cheek. She blushed, and jogged over to her counterparts. Mary to ok one last looked at Jeff, and he winked at her. She smiled, and turned back around.
