Banana Nut Cake

 

 


1 stick of margerine(melted)

1 1/2 cups sugar

2 large eggs

2 cups self-rising flour

1 teaspoon of vanilla or lemon flavoring

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 cup mashed bananas

3/4 cup nuts

 

 

Beat eggs first. Add margerine,flavoring, and sour cream. mix well. Then add all other ingred. Place mixture in a tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Let stand in pan for 10 to 12 minutes to cool. When cool transfer to cake plate. Icing can be used if desired. (can make in muffin pans too)

Chewies

 

 


1 box of light brown sugar

1 stick of butter (melted)

3 eggs

2 cups self rising flour

1 tsp. vanilla

1 to 2 cups chopped pecans

 

 

Mix all ingredients together except pecans. Stir until most of lumps are out. Then add pecans. Bake in ungreased 9 x 13 pan at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

1/2 cup peanut butter

1/2 cup margerine

1 & 1/2 cups sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp. vanilla flavor

1 cup self rising flour

 

 

Set oven on 350 degrees. Melt margerine and peanut butter.(cool) Then add remaining ingredients. Pour into 9X13 pan. Bake 25 to 35 minutes.

Pecan Pie

 

 


3 eggs

3/4 cup sugar

1 stick butter (melted)

3/4 cup of Karo syrup

1 cup (chopped or whole) pecans

1 9 inch pie shell

 

 

In medium size bowl, beat eggs first, then add all ingredients except nuts together and beat until smooth. Stir in nuts. Place in 9 inch pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 48 minutes. (makes two pies)

PEACH COBBLE PIE

 

 


1 cup milk

1 cup flour (self rising)

1 cup sugar

1 can peach slices (in light syrup)

1 stick of butter (melted)

 

 

Mix milk, flour, & sugar together. In a cassarole dish put peaches in first, then pour mixture over peaches. Cook in oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Top should be golden brown.

LEMONADE PIE

 

 


1 8 oz. can frozen lemonade

1 can condensed milk

12 oz. tub cool whip

2 (8 inch) graham cracker pie shells

 

 

Mix all ingredients together. Stir until smooth. Pour into graham cracker pie shells. Refrigerate until ready to serve. (makes two pies)

* BETH'S DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CAKE

 

 

 
2 sticks butter

1 cup water

1/4 cup cocoa

2 cups sugar

1/2 t. salt

2 eggs

1 cup sour cream

1 tsp. baking soda

 

 

  Preheat oven to 350F degrees. Bring to boil water, butter, cocoa.  Pour into bowl.  Add flour, sugar, salt.  Beat in eggs, sour cream, baking soda.  Pour into greased 9x13 pan, or two 8" round pans.  Bake at 350 F degrees 25-30 min. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan(s).

 

 

 

   

CHOCOLATE FUDGE FROSTING

 

 

 
1 stick butter

1/2 cup cocoa

1/4 cup milk

1 lb. 10x (confectioners) sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

 

 

   Heat to near boil: butter, cocoa, milk.  Pour into bowl.  Beat in sugar and vanilla. Spread on cake while still warm.
