The International Studies Program at
Independence High School will offer students a broad concept of citizenship, embracing
both the nation and the world in which they live. This interdisciplinary program
will provide a foundation of knowledge as well as opportunities for creative thinking and
problem-solving in the following areas.

Students Will

society, and major global concerns such as environment, population, resources, and human
rights - and how these interconnections affect our future options and choices.
