Smashing Pumpkins bassist D'Arcy Wretzky donated a gold-record award to an Indiana animal shelter that rescued her runaway Great Dane. The dog wandered away from D'Arcy's farm near Kalamazoo, Michigan, and was near death when a member of Animal Aid rescued it.

Billy Corgan angry at Chevy(cornelius) Chase

Billy Corgan was holidaying in the Caribbean recently and had just jumped onboard a plane to do a short island hop from St. Bart's to St. Martin's when the pilot announced the plane's destination had changed, and ordered everyone off. As they disembarked, Chevy and his family jumped on the plane, and took off. Later, when Corgan finally got to St. Bart's - Chase was holding up traffic in the check-up line at his hotel. Corgan was totally p.o'd by the fact the pilot had lied to them about the change in destination just so Chase could get flying faster and said 'there's an abuse of fame there'.

It seems the Smashing Pumpkins frontman is an avid "wrestlemaniac." On hearing this admission, the show's host, Mancow Muller, invited the tall-but-slender singer to join him in the ring for an April 16 WCW pay-per-view bout against Jimmy "Mouth of the South" Hart. The response? Corgan said he would have to "see what he could do with his touring schedule."
