T.J. had surgery on his ear for the second time in February, 1999. The procedure is called 'Tympanoplasty' with 'cholosteotoma'. Basically, that meant the dr. had to go in and graft a hole in his ear drum. He's had problems with his ears for many many years. The 'cholosteotoma' part of it is an abnormal skin growth in the middle ear that had to be removed. If left untreated, it could ultimately leave him deaf.
