Poster Child

We've all had our ups and downs.
I know you'll be doin just fine, fine, fine.
You've been lost, or you've been found.
Don't let this confusing world bring you down.

Don't listen to what they all say.
They'll drag you down, push you away.
Don't follow your head, follow your heart.
You don't have to be cool to be apart.

You've tried to walk a mile in shoes not yours.
You've tried to move on to faster cars.
Been dippin your hands in the novaccaine jars.
Why would you ever go that far?

Why do you try to be that way,
When your not that way?
But you do what they say.
Why do you try and do what they do?
When you worship a world that doesn't love you.

Don't sorrow yourself, and say you're an accident.
In that line you know so untrue.
Don't pretend your so hurt, or so tough.
We're all soft inside, I wouldn't fool you.

So if you're a fashion victim.
Its like being rich.
You can be down so far, or up so high.
But you won't carry your status with you when you die.
