Marathon Music, office of Mr. Mick Jagger and
part time Rolling Stones employees, would like to lay rumors to rest that Mr.
Jagger is working on a solo album now, or will do so in the near future. Mr.
Jagger has been in a studio recently to start work on the sound track for his
movie Enigma, to be released early 2001, he will stay home till mid 2001, to
care for his children. Only taking time off to work on the movie 'The man
from Elysian Fields.' Also any stories about a coming Stones tour are only
speculations, there are no current plans in that direction. The Stones have not
even discussed a tour, or met up to do so, there is to little time now to do
such a thing. There have been talks about a tour and a studio album, time and
locations have been booked, but all has been canceled through various
reasons. Hopefully I have hereby informed you enough. Kind regards, Kate

MICK Jagger and Charlie Watts are aging gracefully, living cleanly and
keeping themselves in shape. On the other hand, Keith Richards woke up the
other day at 5:30 p.m. ''Bleary and bedraggled, he ambles along his hotel
corridor to face the first interview of the day, cigarette and tumbler of
vodka in hand,'' Mojo magazine reports from Miami. ''In another room, Ron

Lisa Marie Presley shows off her wild side hanging out with aging Rolling Stone Keith Richards during a raucous holiday party thrown by Ronnie (Be My Baby)Spector.
From Rolling Stone Magazine online:

Keith Richards, Joey Ramone and other luminaries jam with Ronnie Spector
You can bet it wasn't the first time Keith Richards has given up a night's sleep, but it may have been one of the more wholesome instances. The Rolling Stones guitarist joined singer Ronnie Spector -- best known for her work with seminal Sixties girl group the Ronettes -- onstage at trendy New York night spot Life last night to help her celebrate the holidays at her Christmas Extravaganza. The ever-ready axeman played into the wee hours despite the fact that he had a 6 a.m. plane to catch to begin his Christmas holidays. "Keith couldn't resist playing with Ronnie," said photographer Bob Gruen, who was on hand to shoot the festivities. "He told me how much he owes her. On the Rolling Stones' first trip to America, Ronnie befriended them, and took the Stones to Harlem -- to the best clubs and restaurants -- where they not only had a great time, but no one recognized them." As for the holiday party, Spector had faxed Richards an invitation to join her at Life and, as fate would have it, he just so happened to be listening to a remix of some of her old stuff at the time. It was such a serendipitous moment that he felt he couldn't turn her down. Nor did he want to. Bedecked in silver and royal purple, with festive silver beads entwined in his graying hair, Richards joined Spector onstage for two songs, crooning a stirring rendition of Chuck Berry's "Run Run Rudolf," and playing blistering guitar during the Ronettes mega-hit "Be My Baby." "I have never heard Ronnie better," confessed Joey Ramone, who also performed with Spector. "She was fucking incredible." Though the venue was packed, Spector managed to keep it under wraps that Richards was going to show. When he finally took the stage, waves of shock rippled through the audience.
Keith Richards, who has written and performed rock anthems for several generations as the lead guitarist of the Rolling Stones, still leads a spur-of-the-moment life. He does not bother with restaurant reservations when he and 12 friends go out to dinner. They showed up one night last week at Nirvana, a restaurant on Central Park South, for a head start on the celebration of his 55th birthday party, which is today. "I gave them the same table John Lennon used to sit at," said Nirvana's owner, Shamsher Wadud, who was celebrating his own birthday that night and soon referred to Mr. Richards by his first name, as in, "I'm delighted Keith is a Sagittarius, too." The group ordered something called the Badshahi Feast, which consists of 35 dishes. As if that were not enough, they also ordered the Nawabi Feast (27 dishes) and three bottles of wine. The bill was $1,200 including a $216 tip. Mr Wadud did not hurry things along. The restaurant stayed open until 1 A.M., an hour past closing time.
New York City 8:10pm 10/26/98 : Keith Richards was interviewed by the international press, including a friend of mine, E.H., from Germany.
At the end of the interview Keith signed a copy of No Security for me after my friend told him about my web pages & also that today happened to be
my birthday. Thanks Keith & E.H.!! The dedication says "With Love Blue Lena (Tamara) Keith Richards 98"!
LONDON (CNN) -- The
London Times reports that the
Rolling Stones' Keith
Richards has donated £30,000
($51,000) to save the village
hall in West Wittering, near
Chichester in West Sussex. The hall was built in 1922 in
honor of local World War I dead.
An appeal for the hall, which is in dire need of
renovations and a new roof, had been mailed to 2,000
local residents with a suggestion that £30 a head would
help pay for the work. Richards, who bought a home in
the village in 1966 and is said to enjoy his time there,
immediately provided half the sum it was thought
necessary to save the building.
Ken Bessant, chairman of the trustees of the memorial
hall, said of the donation, "I do not know Keith Richards
personally but some of my friends do know him, and we
certainly think of him as a villager rather than as a pop
star. The hall would have been saved without Mr.
Richards' gift, but his generosity has made it much easier
and quicker. The hall is vital as a center of village
life."
A total of £75,000 ($128,000) has now been raised.
KEITH'S DAUGHTER ANGELA GETS MARRIED! 8/24/98
Photos from OK! Magazine UK
From the Chicago Sun Times, Monday August 24th, Bill Zwecker's column: Wedding Could Have Been Taxing for Two Stones "Seems the taxman was the culprit who kept Mick Jagger and Charlie Watts from fellow Rolling Stones band member Keith Richards' daughter Angela's wedding last week in London. Taxes, of course, were the reason the Stones canceled recent concert dates in Britain. If Jagger or Watts had entered England for the Richards nuptials, it could have cost them a ton of cash. Of course, the event still attracted a lot of rock 'n' roll royalty and other celebs. Papa Keith and the Stones' Ron Wood were on hand (they don't face tax problems); Jerry Hall and Mick's kids represented their clan, and supremodel Kate Moss showed, as did Marianne Faithfull, who termed the event "magical." One intriguing note: Angela, Keith's daughter by Anita Pallenberg, walked down the aisle to the strains of the Stones' hit, "Angie." Reportedly it caused more than a few snickers from guests. While the name matched the bride's, it seemed inappropriate for a wedding. Its lyrics are about disatisfaction, the absence of love and the death of dreams."
