5th All Brahmin Convention Concluded with Many Compliments and a Grand Success

It was Thursday 3rd July, it was anticipated many people to register a day before convention and planned to receive them, feed them and support their accommodations needs.  By past midnight at around 1:00 AM our last group of delegates arrived from New York.  This was late, however, we did what we anticipated.  This was possible because of all volunteers commitments, dedication and determination.  Our confidence confirmed that we would be able to meet the challenges of this convention.

New day morning was our first day of convention, we had a breakfast, and prayer and convention program began...As a chairperson of the convention, I was cool and confident but concerned about conducting affairs of convention.  But when I was leaving home on Thursday afternoon, I thought, why I am worried when I have a support of all members of Georgia Brahmin Samaj.  "I will do what is agreed and planned", was the breathless response from within my heart.  We started convention the same way the volunteers have planned for months.  The collective decision of our volunteers and participants will lead the course of the convention.

Two and a half days of All Brahmin Convention 2003 concluded with a grand success.  Over 460 delegates including 138 Matri. Introduction delegates registered.  The attendance included representatives from four countries, over 26 cities and 19 States.  Majority of them stayed at the convention center so that they can enjoy and participate fully.  All the convention activities started promptly, and for that we had lots of extra items to enjoy.  The goal of the convention was set to follow five words.  "Communicate, Connect, Correct, Cost Cutting and Continue."

The activities included were, educational, informative, inspirational speeches of prominent guest speakers, Bakulbhai Soneji, Mrs. Geetaben Bhatt, Pujya Sharadbhai Vyas, and Hon. GA congresswoman Denise Majjete.  Expressive and appreciating speech from executive members of other Brahmin Samaj consisting of Sureshbhai Sevak, Mrs. Hashuben Bhatt, Gautambhai Gor, Janardanbhai Jani, Deviben Trivedi and Bharatbhai Joshi.  Uplifting, bold and encouraging continuous music and entertainment was provided by DJ, Brahmbhatt, live concert and music by Rajbhai and Smrutiben Pandya, who kept the conventioneers on their feet dancing and singing.  Our local talents maintained tempo and environment of the convention at the peak by our Treasurer and Master of Ceremony Jaydevbhai Jani, the guest speaker Dr. Char blessed and inspired the audience spiritually, the divine brother and respected senior member Suryarambhai Joshi played original Indian skit and kept everyone in highest spirit.  Members of Brahmin Samaj of Georgia are thankful to all the sponsors and donors for their generosity.  The food was delicious and enjoyed & complemented by all the attendees.  Special care was taken for young group by serving Pizza and Mexican food at lunch.  The service and taste of food topped all the excitement and enjoyment.  I want to thank, the ex-president Dr. Niranjan Dave, my equal half, who played a key role of keeping focus on coordination of the event and chanting Sanskrit verses during lunches and dinners.  It is important to mention that all the events were close to perfect because of our respected ladies poured nonstop love and attention to detail in each and every item and event.  My honest and sincere Namaste to all the team members, volunteers and guests delegates.  I thank them for a job well done.  We are extremely lucky for cohesive support and respect for each other, which was demonstrated by each one of us.

Matrimonial group had their own fun and enjoyment.  Each one of them was with happy exposure.  They found and formed new friendship.  Their echo was two and a half days of meeting made them feel welcome and wanted.  Credits go to Jaibalaben Raval, and her teammates Shefaliben Trivedi and Meetal Jani for excellent coordination of all planned activities.  I still believe there is room for future improvements.  We are collecting ideas to do better next time from our teams.  Especially I promise to take care of selecting convention location next time.

We all of us are excited, enjoying and telling each other "This is it, this is what we want.  We must do this every year"...The thought was exposed by Gautambhai Gor, President of Brahma Samaj of Greater Chicago, Il who announced boldly that All Brahmin Convention 2004 will be held in Chicago, IL.

The convention laid the tradition of working together and sustain good friendship forever.  Everyone was expressing joy and satisfaction to each other and departed happily as was arranged by our airport drop-off team.  May god bless all of us in promoting our live, unity and respect for Brahmins and Brahminism.

My warmest regards and thank yous.
