Dear Members,I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year, and I sincerely hope that 2001 will be as prosperous for you and your family as 2000 was.
First of all I want to recap 2000. All of the events put on by the Brahmin Samaj of Georgia were tremendous successes. We began the year with Shivratri; followed by our annual camping camping trip to Lake Lanier Island; then we had a large number of members attend the 2nd All Brahmin Convention in Chicago, IL. We followed the convention with our annual summer picnic, and rounded out the year with one of the most entertaining Diwali programs.
2001 will bring new changes. First of all we have a new executive committee. These members are available to assist with any activity related to the Brahmin Samaj. We as committee along with the dedicated volunteers will again work on buiding on our previous programs and achievements.
The Samaj has come a long way in four years. We began from a handful of Brahmins who had a vision of bringing the community together. From this vision, we have grown to over 115 families and have extended our family affiliation with Chicago, IL and New Jersey Brahmin Samaj's. The samaj strives to produce events that will be enjoyed by all.
I would like to thank you all for continued support of the Brahmin Samaj of Georgia, and would like to invite you to attend all the programs, specifically 2001 - All Brahmin Convention during September 1-2, 2001 in New Jersey.
Sincerely,
Avani Raval
President
