President's Message

Dear Brahmin Friends:

Happy New Year to all of you with best wishes for a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.  I want to take this opportunity to welcome new members who have joined this great family.  I walso want to take this opportunity to acknowledge and extend my special gratitute to the entire Executive Committee as well as many other volunteers who participated in varous programs during the year 2000.

Let us remind ourselves that our main goal is to bring Brahmin families together.  Let us work together to achieve progress amongst Brahmin families and reach out to other communities to extend our assistance.

We had another wonderful year with our usual programs including Shivratri, Camping, Summer Picnic, Yagnopavit change, and Diwali Milan.  The Brahmin Convention 2000 at Chicago, IL was a grand success.  Looking ahead, our friends in New Jersey are planning a similar convention for 2001.  We are all looking forward to joining them and participating in it.

In order to achieve our goals, we need to continue to work together and we need more volunteers.  So please be involved in whatever capacity you can.  We need more organized programs for youths as well as senior citizens.  If you have any questions, suggestions, or problems, please feel free to call me or any of the Executive Committee members.
