	The ASCII art below has been collected from a
variety of sources ranging from email signatures to websites
dedicated to the art of ascii figures.  These are suitable
for use in IRC in two different ways:

1) Copy and paste each figure to a separate file, then in
mIRC use the command: /play <#channel> <filename>.

2) Put a "topic" heading before each image by enclosing it 
in square brackets: [heading] - then in mIRC use the 
command: /play -t<heading> <#channel> <filename>

	In either case it's easiest to make a set of popup
commands that will remind you of the names of the files or
headings.

A WORD ABOUT PROPER USE OF ASCII ART IN IRC:

	ASCII art is fun in IRC when conditions are right.
Those conditions are basically LOW CHANNEL POPULATION and
appreciation (or at least tolerance) on the channel for the
use of ASCII pictures.  These conditions are always available
in a PRIVATE CHAT WINDOW (DCC, Query or regular), and often
absent elsewhere.

PLEASE NOTE:

	It is impolite to "play" ascii images in any channel
where the scroll is faster than a new line every 2-3 seconds.
It is also bothersome at any time in a regular chat group (a
group in which the primary activity is word exchange) to 
display ascii images that are more than 6-8 lines high. ASCII
pictures that are very high or wide will "wrap around" in IRC
windows that have been sized smaller than the picture and the
result is just a jumble.

	Frequent use of ASCII art, or use of large images that
scroll a dozen lines or more, will almost always elicit 
complaints and if continued will eventually get you kicked and/or
banned from most "chat" channels.

	On the other hand, if you follow the basic guidelines
below, you will rarely have any trouble and will often have
the pleasure of illustrating your conversation.

     -----GUIDELINES FOR COURTEOUS USE OF ASCII ART-----

1) ASCII art is NOT NECESSARY for conversation; it can wait.

2) If there is other conversation on the channel, DON'T SEND
	ANY ASCII ART!

3) If you don't know the attitude of those on the channel, ask
	before you send any ASCII art.

4) If no one answers, consider it the same as a "no!"  If others
	are already sending ASCII pics, join in, but keep
	guidelines #5, #6 and #7 in mind.

5) If someone on the channel objects to the "scroll" caused by
	ASCII pictures, take the pics to a private window.

6) If it's more than 8 lines high, send it only in a private
	chat window.

7) If you sent an ASCII picture within the last 10 minutes,
	WAIT!!

8) Failure to observe guideline #7 above will earn you an 
	enforced 10 minute "rest" from #50+retired.

9) Engaging in any ASCII war (pic vs. pic vs. pic) will earn
	you a 24 hour "rest" from #50+retired.

channels or under some circumstances.  The fact that you
