Embed A Sig.
For WebTV Email
There are several advantages to doing this and now appears to be the only way to have images and sound in your sigs.
You will always have a sig stored and ready to use without taking up saved mail space.
Your mail will load
faster,too.
OK....Let's get
started.
Login at Tripod.
When you
are in
your housekeeper..
Click on"Create A Custom
Page"
Name it something.html
Click"Use
This
Filename"
On Next page..Click on the Edit
Box
With cursor at the top of the box start
your coding with your opening html and write your
sig just
like you would in your webtv sig box.
When
finished Click "Use This HTML"
This will
take
you to a page that will have a link to
it.
Click on the link and you have your
sig to
embed.
C/C/P this by pressing the go to key
and clicking on show current.
Then CMD A and
CMD
C.
Now go to your sig. box.
Put your
opening html at
the very top per usual
body bgcolor="bgcolor
of sig background"
text="color of text in sig"
(Don't forget your
brackets)
Embed
src="URL OF SIG"
(bracket before embed and after SIG")
Close your body and html tags
and your sig is ready.
You can only do
this with solid backgrounds. Image backgrounds
will not work.
Who needs them anyway. Most of
them take too long to load and then the text
doesn't show clearly.
I don't know for
sure if this is within Tripods TOS. You won't be
linking to anything so I don't think it violates
anything.
Good Luck and have fun making
signatures for your email.
I hope this has
helped.
