The Dragon Key
Have you ever wanted to go anywhere and see things that only the imagination could think of? Has life bored you beyond your limits and it has become meaningless? What would you say if I told you that there was an object out there with powers only limited to the mind’s imagination? What would you say, good traveler, that you could go anywhere your mind takes you with this object—this key? You would probably say that I am a lunatic. But what I tell you is true. There is such a key. With it, you could go to worlds that would take a space craft thousands of years to achieve. You could go to other towns and cities, see all of those tourist sites you have dreamed of seeing. You could even go to parallel dimensions and other planes of existence that only the greatest of shamans and sorcerers could go. And it will cost you nothing. All you need is a willing heart and a good imagination to use this key.
Where is such a key? You ask me where you could find it? What does it look like? Ha-ha-ha-ha! You Earthlings are so pushy and always in a rush. I come from a world where the key was forged. I come from Kaül, a planet of magic and mystery. The key is golden with a little dragon carved at the top of the handle—where you hold it of course. It was lost from my world several millennia ago, but I here it sort of happened onto yours. I here that someone has finally found it! They will be in for a great surprise, my friend. Aye, that they will. Luckily, I can see them. I am a mystic, by trade. Magic dominates my world just like science dominates yours. I only hope that they will not try to use it. Why? Well, there is a problem. There is a legend about the key, who ever first touches the Dragon Key, shall be its wielder for life. Once the one who uses the key—uses the key, it will automatically take that person back to the place of its birth. Kaül is that place, and one man, Tüll will try to get his evil hands on it. Who is Tüll? He is the foulest ruler and sorcerer of Kaül. He is the man who is alley with the Evil Dragons. Agaarr, the Dragon of Pestilence and Plague is his second-in-command. With those two in charge of Kaül. Ever since the War of Orcs and Dragons, there has not been a time without suffering on my world. I came here to find the Dragon Key, before Tüll finds it. As long as it stays out of his hands, both of our worlds will be safe. I am keeping a personal eye on the one who will—or already has found the key. Maybe he will help us. We will succeed in the fight! The key is out there. Good luck on your search for the key. It can only be found if you want to find it. How else are you going to find it?
One more thing, willing traveler, beware of Tüll and his minions, especially the dragons. They are strong, intelligent, skillful in the Arts of Magic, and they are swift at flying. They are the most powerful creatures on Kaül. They love to trick and scheme many out of their possessions and lives. They lust for gold and servants. Do not go near any dragons! Do not trust them either. They are evil, Tüll made them that way. Some say that he does magical experiments on human subjects to create the perfect dragon. I hope that is a tall tale. I would not like to be transformed into a dragon and enslaved into that hellish army. Tüll is still looking for subjects now. He will not get me! Pray that he will not get you. But he does not know that the key is here. Thank the gods for that. It will be our little secret, aye? Good. Good luck, my friend! Welcome to your journey in search of the Dragon Key.
