The Communist Manifesto

The Communist Manifesto

Formally known as "The Manifesto of The Communist Party"(The Communist Party being of course the organization for whom the document was officially written) it sets forth the theory of communism along with the means of making that theory into a reality. The actions proposed apply to the situation in the 1840's and seeing as the world has changed a little since then they would not apply to present day. Despite the fact that the actions would not apply, amazingly, the ideas set forth could work.

I would like to say three things before you read this.

First, The complete text can be found here however, unlike the published form you can buy at the local bookstore, this does not include the foreword. Being a foreword it is unnecessary, as all forewords are, however it does provide a brief history of the communist movement and the manifesto itself, all of which I found quite interesting.

Second, The entire work is divided into four parts, each building upon the information given in the previous and each giving you information critical for the understanding of the next section. So it is pretty much necessary to read them in order.

Third, Communism does not mean that you have an authoritarian or totalitarian state. You could have a state based on democratic communism, but as far as I know that never happened. So keep in mind as your reading this that all the evils of communism are actually from a totalitarian state and that you could have a communist state of the people, for the people, and by the people.

Oh, yeah one last thing I am an Anrchist not a Communist and would never support the ideas proposed here. I am including this because I just wanted to provide another point of view.

And Now for the reason you came here:
