The Doris Pride Camp Mar-Mac Memorial Scholarship was initiated in 1997 by the Camp Board of Directors to honor the long-time enthusiastic commitment Doris personally made to the Marion County 4-H Camp Program and Camp Mar-Mac.  She spent 13 years in 4-H as a member and 40 years as a leader of the Crossroads 4-H Club.  It is hoped that her untiring efforts to assure the maintenance of Camp Mar-Mac and the quality of  youth programming there will be perpetuated through this award.

The full camp scholarship is awarded annually at the Marion County 4-H Camp closing awards ceremony during Friday night Council Circle to a female 4-H camper who exemplifies a love for 4-H camping and demonstrates an interest in maintaining Camp Mar-Mac for the future.
