This is Chuck Riley's great-uncle, John Edwin "Edd" Hawkins and his wife Nettie Patton Hawkins. Edd was b. 5-15-1890, died 5-31-1951. Nettie was b. 7-12-1886, d. 4-18-1963; they were married 10-10-1907. This picture with their mules was taken in front of their farmhouse in Jefferson Co., IL.
