The Writings of Religion....

Holy Blood, Holy Grail by Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh and Henry Lincoln

Any residual guilt I had from my Christianized childhood regarding my true spiritual callings was finally laid asunder with this book. Reading the history of the church and its machinations, how "scripture" was manipulated to suit political policy really opened my eyes and freed me to think about my connection with Divine in complete intellectual freedom.

The Messianic Legacy by Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh and Henry Lincoln

Written by the same authors as "Holy Blood, Holy Grail", this book explores the possibilities and historical evidence that Jesus was married, sired children and that his lineage continues. Well researched and thought provoking.

Science & Health with a Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy

The "bible" of Christian Science, this book sat on my grandmother's dresser next to the Bible throughout my childhood. Grandma would read to me out of both each night before bed. Grandma was never fanatical about Christian Science (for instance, I DID go to the doctor)but I believe these early experiences helped to shape my deep belief in the healing power of the spirit.
