Sit up straight when in the guard. Push on your opponents abdomen.
Use your elbows to push on the inside of your opponents thighs forcing them apart. Sneak your knee up in the space created and push on the inside of his thigh. This will increase the space created and keep your opponent pinned down. Sit back further and wrap your arm around his calf.
Throw your leg (R) through his legs and cross your ankles at about his hips. This will help imobilize his leg and hips. As you sit back, slide your arm down his calf unitl hitting his ankle stops you; this is where you will apply the lock. Lean back and outwards as you close the lock with your other hand. Push down on his hips with your feet.
