Pillage? Nay there must be better ways!

The Courtesy and Spoils of War

If you are reading this and did not cause any of the problems, we ask that you help to spread the word, and help to keep others in good form.

Several items of note have been brought to my attention regarding the past May War event.

First and foremost, the Autocrats have informed me that the rate of theft and littering at war was ridiculously high! The SCA is designed to be fun for everyone, it takes many volunteers hours (and even days) to manage the events for you. Volunteer your time, keep your site clean and don't steal things, it will make the SCA better for all of us.

Second, I have been told that certain members and guests of our encampment went to other camps claiming that they had not been fed by our household. Le Chansons Nuit had so much food this war that we had to throw almost half of it away before leaving the site Monday morning. The feast was on schedule (sundown Saturday) and each member of the camp was informed they had free access to whatever food was available in camp. I don't want to hear that you weren't fed from anyone except you, if you feel you are being unfairly treated, let us know and we will resolve the problem quickly.

Third, on the subject of banners, please follow household rules when claiming banners, when in doubt DON'T TAKE IT! If you don't know exactly who's banner it is, and that they will be represented in lists the next day please do not capture that banner. Also our banner was taken on Sunday night from inside of our tent, this is very uncouth, please never keep anything captured at war.

I apologize for the outburst, but in the future please be more considerate of the war.
