The Story of K'lana

~ And so my parents decided that I should receive my own Cypris. They both had one of their own and I had waited so long for them to decide that it was time for me to receive one as well. Ah, K'lana, what will you name it when it hatches? I think perhaps La'tinu if male and perhaps Zylara if female. Well, no. I don't really like either of those. I've been sitting for days and days trying to decide what to name this little one when it hatches.

~ I have it! Maeren. Maeren will work either way, I'm quite sure. Oh, I can't wait. My parents just gave me the egg last night in a long drawn out ceremony. Isn't it so beautiful? It even has a special place in my room right now. Not right next to my bed for I don't want to accidentally fall on it, but over in a dark corner of the room. I guess they like dark corners, at least that's what my parents tell me. I hope that this one does.

~ Look! My Cypris has hatched. Maeren is here. She's a Spring Cypris, which accounts for the coat of leaves that she has.
