Obverse Reverse

This is a coin of Toulouse, minted during 13th century under the authority of Raymond VII. The legend on the obverse states RAMON COMES (Count Raymond) and surrounds a short cross with a small S in one corner. The reverse states +TOLOSA CIVI (City of Toulouse) and surrounds an unusual monogram. It is most likely a symbol of heraldry.
