Well, I find this story really kind of funny.
You see, I'm obsessed with Cowboy Bebop, and I had a picture of person dressed as Ed, and I was hoping to find a Spike cosplayer, cause he's my fav character after Ed (actually, Gren is one of my MOST fav characters, but he's not a main one). Anyway, all day, I was looking for one.
But no luck. There were none.
Anyway, there was this Squall that we kept seeing around. My accomplice in crime and I called him "Our Squall" because there were 2 hanging around ("Our Squall" and "Bishounen Squall") We had been on the avid lookout for Bishounen Squall, because, well, I'm a bishounen nut. That, and we're both Final Fantasy 8 enthusiasts.
My friend and I were hanging out in the dealers room when we saw "Our Squall" Well, I dared her to take a picture of him. We only had a few seconds to decide, so we both chose to take a picture. We did, and totally took the two (Our Squall and his friend) by surprise.
They looked at us like we were insane. I waved, smiled, and scooted away with my friend.
Now, you say, what does this have to do with Spike?
My friend and I were only there for a day, since we failed to pre-reg and could only afford one day. After dinner at Planet Hollywood, we returned to the convention center for the cosplaying. On the way there, I saw a Spike. Excited, I tried to follow him, but he was on the floor below us, so we soon lost him.
We did get to see Bishounen Squall perform in the 'Malice Mizer Mixup', which was in my opinion, One the the BEST cosplays, because I love Malice Mizer, Gackt, and Squall.
That and I also loved the chair. The chair! THE CHAIR!
Well, that ended and it was time for us to go home. I was exhausted, but my feet didn't hurt, thanks to my special Duo boots!
But alas, I had no picture of Spike.
A week later, when I got my film developed, I looked through the pictures. I found the one of Our Squall and blinked. His friend was dressed as Spike!
I was happy.
