Aunt Jo's Honey Balls

Slightly beat 8 eggs.
Add:
  4 cups flour
  2 tsp. baking powder
  1/3 cup sugar
  2 oz Grand Marnior liquor

Mix together and kneed.

Cut dough into strips and roll the strips into small balls.

Fry balls in melted Crisco shortening until well browned. I
usually use more than a large can, so make sure you have plenty of
Crisco on hand before you start frying!

Drain and place on paper towels.

Boil 2 lb. honey.

Add fried dough balls, candied fruit, and chopped nuts.

Mix well.

Place in paper cupcake dishes and add sprinkles.

Store in airtight containers or eat shortly after. Will be good for a few weeks if stored
properly.

NOTE: Honey balls take literally hours to make, but they are rare and wonderful when
finished.
