CHAPTER 1

It was one of those perfect April mornings. The ones where you wake and feel the stirrings of spring deep within your soul. It was Saturday, the first one in months Leah had not had to get up early to run Jessie to football, Lindsey to ballet or make breakfast for her husband David. In fact the children were gone for the weekend to her parents and David was playing golf with some friends who were in town for a few days. Last night she has decided that today was gonna be spent doing what she wanted. For the last few weeks Leah had been feeling extremely restless. She wasn't sure if it was the early arrival of spring or what. El Nino had caused a major warm spell and the rain in San Diego had been horriable for weeks. As she headed down stairs she was startled when the phone rang. It was only 7:45 am and she couln't imagine who would be calling her this early.
