In January 1998 I was going through "one" of the hardest times of my life, and to add fuel to the fire I was getting ready to turn 30, ick.... I was litterly at the end of my ropes. Then on Jan 14 by a random chat on ICQ ©mirabilis, I met a man who would eventually turn my life upside down, backwards and inside out. Normally I wouldn't of even chatted him becasue there was no info in his bio part, but for some reason I did message him. It started out as just casual chat. He lived in Cyprus, where is that you ask?? Well I asked the very same thing... It is a small Island at the far end of the Mediterranean Sea near the middle east. It was so strange to meet this person that I had so much in common with but who practically lived on the other side of the world. He was orginally from England but moved there a few years ago. As time went on we grew closer and closer. There seemed to be this "Strange" bond between us. By the middle of February we were talking about 5 hours a day, which was alot since there was a 7 hour time difference between him and I. Things just seemed to be moving so fast for us and it seemed we had known each other all our lives. We were talking within a few weeks about making plans to meet, and on February 8 he asked me to marry him. ! ! !WOW! ! ! But I didn't think twice when I said YES! ! ! By February 19 I had found a new apartment and we were making plans for him to move here to the USA. Now alot of you probly think "THIS WOMAN IS C R A Z Y ! ! Yes, I have heard that alot, but just wait, it gets better. So for the next two months he worked two jobs 20 hrs a day to save the money to move here. There was never any "Well what if we don't like each other, what if he/she isn't what the other thought, ect ect ect" There was never any doubts (well maybe just a tiny bit, but not enought to discourage either of us) Finally on April 1st, YES April Fools Day he arrived here in the USA. I will never forget that day/night as long as I live. He called me when he landed in New York City that after noon. He had been traveling for over 24 hours at that point, and I missed him terriably. It was the first time in months we hadn't spoke. Gods I was so nervous. He was to arrive in Cincinnati, about an hour from here, later that evening. We arrived at the airport an hour early to make sure we were there when he got there. Well as any of you that have used the airlines know, planes are NEVER on time when you need them to be. Yes he was TWO HOURS LATE ! ! ! And then to top it off, at the gate he was coming into all of a sudden there were cop cars, a fire truck and other misc. emergency vehicles... Yes as you can imagine I WAS FREAKING OUT... Turns out the flight he was coming in on was to transfer a prisioner on the outgoing flight... Well the plane finally landed, I could see my hands shaking... Luckily I had taken my two dearest friends in the world with me. As we waited one of them remarked "He will probly be the last one off" Well guess what?? HE WAS ! ! ! The moment he steped out of the walkway from the plane it was all over. All the waiting, all the worrying all the fear disappeared. The second our eyes met we knew it was worth well worth the wait. He ran to me and I to him. We kissed and hugged. It was like your love returning after a VERY LONG abscence. We were both finally complete and more in love then we ever belived possible. Life together has contined to be the single most AWSOME experence either of us has ever had. We were married on May 13, 1998. Its now 4 months later and I think we fall more in love every day. I somtimes try to remember what life was like before Paul was in my life and it is impossible. Its like all those years I dreamed of my 'Fairy Tale' love, I was actually dreaming of him. He is everything I have ever dreamed of in a man and more. Im not saying that every "INTERNET LOVE" is the real thing, but neither is the high school love, or person you met at the bar. There is sure to be the HORROR stories out there. In this Aquarian Age, and life on the Internet, just remember anything is possible. You may not know it but your Soul Mate may be just on the other side of the terminal
