This is truly one of THE best costumes I've ever seen! I believe the wearer told me it was made out of some kinda plexiglass although it was shiny enough to see yourself in. The red LED light "eye" did indeed alternate across the helmet. Probably the coolest feature was the sound effects. While stationary, the suit made the Cylon "breathing noise". When he walks or turns his head, it makes a whirring sound. I have no idea how he rigged the sound effects! The gun was made from a Super Soaker CPS 2000. When the trigger is pulled, the tip lights up, the forward handguard recoils, and it even makes the appropriate Cylon gunshot sound effect. The complexity of this costume puts virtually every costume I've ever seen to shame!
(Above) This Boba Fett is another truly impeccable costume. Aside from the sheer detail, its coolest feature was that the wrist blasters were able to fire 'silly string'!
(Below) Heheh, do any of you remember a toy called "Rock 'em, Sock 'em Robots"? Well the pair below are dressed as them and did a good job of it! I came across these two people during Halloween '99 in San Francisco.
