"If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them,
"Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
"Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy
faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith BY my works.
"Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?"
Brad "Shiloh" Harris founded and manages ACWAC, the Association of Christian Web Artists of Canada, which in its first year of operation has grown
to number more than 1,600 members. He also facilitates the Webservants' Mentoring Program for newcomers to home-page building; offers a free
banner exchange program for Christian webmasters so they can promote their websites; hosts a chatroom on ICQ; runs an interactive message board; and
designs and builds web pages free of charge for Christian ministries. He and his wife also have a ministry in song, Shiloh, which they have shared in area
churches for eight years or more. You can e-mail Brad at shiloh@wcl.on.ca.
Frank "Careman" Hoffele established and operates a used-clothing store where every article of clothing sells for $10.00 or less (most of it for muchless) -
and then donates proceeds to worthy causes like the local hospital; AND arranges for computers, clothing, medical supplies, bedding, books, toys and foodstuffs for missionaries around the world;
AND facilitates morale-building exchanges of correspondence, cards and parcels with Canadian peacekeepers. Last year, thanks to Frank's efforts, almost 26,000 candy canes overseas for
peacekeepers to hand out to children they meet in trouble-spots around the world.
Whether it's firewood (four tractor-trailerloads!!) for homes without heat or hydro as a result of the January, 1998 ice storm in eastern Ontario and Quebec,
or a double-decker transport trailer jam-packed with cleaning supplies and household necessities to Manitoba to aid rural victims of the massive flooding in the summer of 1997 -
with more than 300 brand-new donated quilts for the flood victims delivered by Frank personally - Frank is sure to be there, helping hand at the ready. As he says, "It's a great feeling
to help others!"
I'm sure there are a dozen things I'm leaving out, so why not just drop Frank an e-mail and ask for details yourself? Who knows? Maybe the Lord
is waiting for you to do similar things in YOUR community . . . .
