TO MUSLIM

There is not much information about Islam on this page,For I was not Muslim long enough to really completely learn the entirety of their religion,I will try to hit all of the basics though,and give some reasoning why I became Muslim when I did.

The most basic of premises in the Islamic faith is there is no God but God.Islam does not view Jesus as God in flesh,but as a mere prophet,nothing more.Having been a Mormon for so long,and believing that God,Jesus,and The Holy Spirit were all separate,this was an easier transition rather than embracing the idea of the Trinity.I looked to the Ten Commandments also as a reason for following Islam,It says Thou shalt have no other gods before Me,I viewed christianity as worshipping God through Jesus,and I just couldn't abide with that,So I became a Muslim.

Islam and Mormonism,have many parallels between them that it was almost like I had never changed religions,Both have scripture in addition to the Bible,Both view smoking and drinking as displeasing to God,Both put complete faith in prophets above faith in the written Word.and as I said before both view God and Jesus as two separate and distinct individuals.

Where the polytheistic Mormons view Christ as a god completely sparated from God,the stringently monotheistic Muslims take all divinity away from Christ,even stripping Him of the Son of God title.

Praying is another thing I take great pleasure in and as a Muslim I got plenty of it.The only problem I had with the Islamic form of prayer is it is so formal,and seemed so rehearsed.

So even as I claimed Islam,down inside I knew that it was only a matter of time before I would be leaving that religion again.
