Being a friend of Jesus Christ

By Robert O. Sanford

Being a Friend of God, is living together as one, by living the same life style that was living in Jesus christ.

(2 Pet 2:20-21 KJV) "For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21 "For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after have

known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them."

To have received the Word of God that contain all the Holy Commandments that govern the Holy Way God's Lives His Live in the Kingdom of Heaven, is to have the knowledge of God's Righteousness. To know what the Life of God in you should be without sin, is obtainable "through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ." (Rom 3:23 KJV) "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" The purpose of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ was to show us the Way the Father had prepared for us, before the world was created, to free ourselves from our sin through Faithful obedience in once again live by His every Word. Adam lost the Kingdom of God within him, by Dis-Obedience to the Words of God.

Now we can reverse our way of life from disobeying God's Words, to obeying God's every Words that came out of His mouth, to gain it back what was lost. We can only do this through the knowledge of God's Life living in Jesus Christ, and with the help of God's Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth. No one can do this without living God's Holy Life reveiled to us in God's Holy Commandments. Remember, sin is living outside of His Holiness. Not to live God's Righteousness in the Commandments, brings a sentence of death from the Word of God. But if a man lives the Life of God, he shall surely live. (Ezek 18:20-21 KJV) "The soul that sinneth, it shall die." 21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die."

Living together as one with our Father, by living our life in the teachings from our Father's Life.

(John 15:1-17 KJV) "I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. {2} Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. {3} Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. {4} Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.{5} I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. {6} If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. {7} If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. {8} Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. {9} As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

"Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you". The keeping of God's Commandment is a requirement to abide in God's Love AS A FRIEND.

(John 15:10-17 KJV) "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. {11} These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. {12} This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. {13} Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. {14} Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. {15} Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. {16} Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. {17} These things I command you, that ye love one another."

We are only a Friend of God, if we do what our Heavenly Father tells us to do in His Holy Word. If we disobey the Commands that our Heavenly Farther gives to us as Sons of God, we are the Enemy of our Father's Righteous Way of living for His Sons. We can only know God by His Word as God is an Invisible Holy Spirit of Life. We can only know His Spirit of Life, if we live our life in His Holy Life revealed to us in His Holy Word, by doing what the Word tells us to do. John 15: 14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. {15} Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you

We are only the Friend of God, if we lay down our carnal life in death, to receive His New Life as a resurrection from the dead.

John 15:13-15 "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. {14} Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. {15} Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you." These servants who were obedient to do God's Will, know all things of God because He reveals it to the Faithful servant. (John 7:15-17 KJV) "And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned? {16} Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. {17} If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself."

We find in these passages, that there are two kinds of servants that are listed here as having a personal relationship with the Holy God of Israel. One is the servant that God call His Friend, because he obeys His ever desire. The other, is the servant slave who only knows the Will of God from the commandments written in the Holy Books given to us by the Christ of God, and then refuses to obey. This servant is not truly a servant to God, but a servant to Satan's disobedience. 2 Pet 2:21 "For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them."

The Holy Commandments, are the instructions that all servants must keep if they are to become and remain a faithful, righteous, servant in the House of God. If they are truly going to be called the Friend of God, they are going to have to put to death their carnal life that transgresses the Holy Laws of God. A person must become dead to their old life of sin that they were born with, if they are going to have the New Life, called God, living in them as their New source of Life. How did Paul become the Friend of God, and know the Words of the Father to write in the New Testament?. Gal 2:20 "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."

If we are truly going to be called the Friend of God, we must put to death our carnal life of sin, that sins against God Holy Ways of living. (Rom 7:14-17 KJV) "For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. {15} For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. {16} If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. {17} Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me." (Rom 8:7-9 KJV) "Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. {8} So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. {9} But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his."

Why does not the Carnal man have a Spiritual mind? The answer is simple, he does not keep the Holy Laws of the Spiritual God of Israel. The Laws of the God of Israel, are Spiritual Laws. The teachings of Satan are carnal and death. (Rom 7:14 KJV) "For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin." (John 4:24 KJV) "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." One cannot worship God in His Spirit unless they keep His Spiritual Laws. To not keep His Spiritual Laws, is to live a Carnal life of sin and death. One cannot worship in Spirit and Truth unless they live "by every Word that came out of the mouth of God". (John 6:63 KJV) "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."

There is no way a person can live in the Holy Spirit of the God of Israel, or have the Holy Spirit of the God of Israel living in them, unless they have the Spirit of God's Word, living in them, by them lives in His Holy Words. Living in God's Spiritual Words, and having God's Spiritual Word alive in you, is the New Life, called the Son of God, that lives in everyone born of God. If you keep this Holy Commandment from the Spirit of God in His Word, you will have His Eternal Life living in you. (Luke 4:4 KJV) "And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God."

A Christian, must put to death their old life of sin, if they are going to have the New Life from God, living in them as their New Source of Life, which is, the Son of God. How did Paul become the Friend of God and know the Words of the Father to write in the New Testament? (Gal 2:20 KJV) "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." Paul was a Friend of God because he had laid down his old life for the New Life of the Son of God.

We find in this scripture that both Jesus Christ and Paul had laid down their lives for each other. Jesus Christ was crucified as the Son of God to save Paul. Paul had crucified his old life of sin to become the Son of God, a Friend, instead of an Enemy. As a Friend of God, the death of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was applied to Paul's debt for past sins. The Death of Jesus Christ, God's Son, satisfy the Father's requirement of his death for Paul's past sins. Paul had laid down a life of self serving, a life of sin, in order to be a slave of God's Life in His Word. Paul had pleased the Father with the life he was now living in Christ. God's Election of Grace was applied to Paul, and he received the Gift of Son ship into the Kingdom of God. The Father was please with Paul as He had been with His Son, Jesus, in the way they both has lived a life of service doing His Will. Paul receive God's Anointing like Jesus had, that made him a Born again Son of God. A person must die to the life of sin, if God's Life is going to be the New Life living in them as His Temple. The carnal life of sin that a man is born with, cannot live in the same Temple with the Holy Life of God. God is the only One living in His Temple as His Temple is Holy.

Amos 3:3 "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" One can only live the Holy Life of Jesus Christ, if he lives his life by the same Holy standard that Jesus Christ lived His Father's Life in. John 8:24 "I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins." Rom 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." We are a friend of Jesus Christ only when we lay down our old life of sin. If we do not crucifey our old life of sin for God, we cannot receive His New Life in Christ that He wants to give us through our Faith of Jesus Christ. Mat 16:25 "For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it." Mat 6:25 ."Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?" Yes it is, the Life of God is Eternal Life.

Only when we live the Holy Life of the Father, as a slave to do His will, contained in His Way of Life, are we truly His Friend. By having the Faith of Jesus, we too can overcome the old life of sin and receive the Anointing of God's Eternal Life to live in us, as an abundant Life. Loving God and His Holy Way of living, with all our heart, soul, and mind, is the only way to become dead to our love of the sin in our carnal living. (Mark 12:29-30 NASB) "Jesus answered, "The foremost is, 'HEAR, O ISRAEL! THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD; {30} AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH."

The Servant - Friend, has proven himself to be a faithful friend by his love to live in God's Spiritual Commandments. 1 John 5:3 "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous." A friends of God is faithful to do all that His Master asks of them, without complaint. John 14:15 "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments." If we don't love Jesus, there is no way we are going to keep His Holy Commansments.

Only the person who keeps his Father's Commandments is the Son of God, the true Friend of his Father who loves Him, according to God's Own Words. The friend who serves God as a slave, to please Him, is a Faithful, loving Friend. He is the real friend that is truly in love with his Father's Life. He sees God as a Faithful Friend who has lain down His Own Life as a Friend for him. Jesus Christ proved Himself to be the Friend of sinners when He laid down His Life to pay for their death sentence for transgressing the Holy Laws of God before they know Him and His Holy Ways. The servant who has repented, and now keeps the commandments of his Master, and now serves Him and Him only, is the true friend of God. (1 John 5:3-4 TLB) "Loving God means doing what he tells us to do, and really, that isn't hard at all; {4} for every child of God can obey him, defeating sin and evil pleasure by trusting Christ to help him."

The servant - friend has proven himself to be faithful slave, in only living his life to serve the Holy Life of God the Father, without spot or wrinkle. In order to become a friend of God, one must first prove himself to be a friend of Gods by doing only the Will of his Farher, and that means not serve His enemies. James 4:4 "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God." One cannot serve God's Enemy, the Evil One, and be a Friend of a Righteous God, who hates Evil.

To call oneself a friend of God and not keep His Teachings and Commandments, is to not know Him or have heard the voice of God at anytime. Mat 4:4 "But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." (John 10:27-28 KJV) "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: {28} And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." Jesus Christ said in this scriptures, that He only gives Eternal Life to the people that hear His voice and follow Him. Mat 16:25 "For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it."

In order to receive the Power and Glory that comes with the Kingdom of God within us, we must live in the Spirit of God's HOLY Commandments.

(Heb 1:8 KJV) "But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom." (Luke 16:10-13 KJV) "He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. {11} If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? {12} And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own? {13} No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." One cannot be both a Friend of God and friend of this evil world system at the same time. Satan will tell you that you can, and so will all his disciples that live their life outside of God's Holy Commandments, contained in the Life of Christ, living in Jesus.

Does the Word of God, delivered to the Saints by the Christ, living in the Disciples, in both the old or new testament, teach that we can serve both Good and evil at the same time and still be a Friend of God? After we have repented of our sins and accepted the Righteousness of Christ, contained in the Holy Commandments as our New Way of Life, can we keep on living the same sinful way of life that we repented of? Can we still call Christ our Lord and Master and claim His Salvation in our lives if we do not obey His Holy Commandments? The question that we must ask ourselves is, are we doing the same thing that Israelites did when they returned to their former way of life? If we don't return and follow the teaching of Christ after we say we have accept His Way of Life, as our salvation, do we still have His Salvation when we continue to sin by living outside of His teachings?

(2 Pet 2:20-22 KJV) "For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. {21} For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. {22} But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire." If we do not accept the Faith of Jesus Christ as our Way of Life, and live the Righteousness in God's Holy Commandments, after we say we have accepted Christ, we have nether not left the hog's wallow or the dog's vomit, or we have returned to it.

(Jude 1:3-5 TLB) "Dearly loved friends, I had been planning to write you some thoughts about the salvation God has given us, but now I find I must write of something else instead, urging you to stoutly defend the truth that God gave once for all to his people to keep without change through the years. {4} I say this because some godless teachers have wormed their way in among you, saying that after we become Christians we can do just as we like without fear of God's punishment. The fate of such people was written long ago, for they have turned against our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. {5} My answer to them is: Remember this fact--which you know already--that the Lord saved a whole nation of people out of the land of Egypt and then killed every one of them who did not trust and obey him." (Heb 3:7-8 TLB) "And since Christ is so much superior, the Holy Spirit warns us to listen to him, to be careful to hear his voice today {8} and not let our hearts become set against him, as the people of Israel did

The Word of God does not make any room for a servant of God to serve evil and still know Him. His Holy Life of Righteousness cannot live inside of a man at the same time that an evil life is living in there. 1 Cor 3:17 "If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are." Can we live a life of sin in the Temple of God, whose Temple, we are and still live? Haven't we just defiled the Temple of God with our sin by bowing our knee to Baal? God said He would destroy that man who lives a life of sin in His Temple. (1 Cor 3:17 KJV) "If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are." Rom 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death." 1 John 3:6 No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him."

Everyone who has a Bible and follows the teachings in it, knows that the Grace that we are saved by, teaches that a man must live a Godly Life. The Grace that appeared to all men was the Father's Life in Jesus, the Christ. Luke 1:79 "To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace." John 1:4 "In him was life; and the life was the light of men. John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The Grace of God teaches us to deny all ungodliness in the way we live our lives.

(Titus 2:11-13 KJV) "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, {12} Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; {13} Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;" Luke 4:43 "And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent." Luke 1:68 "Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people," Luke 1:77 "To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,"

Grace was the Holy Spirit of Truth sent from God to teach all men how to be redeemed back to God, by once again living a Pure life in the Spirit of God's Holy Word. His Eternal Life, from His Word, could once again live in man as the Christ of God. By learning how to Faithfully live the Holy Life of God, from the teaching of God Himself, man could be reconciled back to God, by God. He could than life his life in the Spirit of God's Holy Life and not in the life born into man from Adam. God came "to give knowledge of His Salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins," through living in His Righteousness. (Luke 1:74-75 KJV) "That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, {75} In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life."

If one does not follow the teachings of God's Grace faithfully, how can he be saved by God's Grace? The Word declares that we are saved by Grace through Faith. (Eph 2:8 KJV) "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" Grace reveals that the Way to be saved is by living the Holy Life of God revealed by and in Christ Jesus. Rom 5:21 "That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord." When we live the Father's Holy Life by the same Faithfulness that Jesus Christ lived His Father's Holy Life, we too will reign over the old man of sin in us that brings death to every sinner. (Rom 11:4-5 KJV) "But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. {5} Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace." (Mat 22:14 KJV) "For many are called, but few are chosen." (Mat 7:21 KJV) "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." These Scriptures say; one must do the Father's will if they are going to be chosen to receive God's Election of Grace.

Through faith, we can receive the Holy Life of God into us as our new live, to reign in righteousness over sin and death to give us God's Salvation. Only when the old life of sin is crucified, can it be brought under control to the Laws of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus. Our New Life of God in Christ will then reign as our New Lives through His Righteousness. When only the Spirit of Life in the Spiritual Words of God are living in us, will we be reconciled to the Life of God by the Spirit of Life in God's Word, living in us. We will then become the Friend of God that He wants us to be. The Holy Spirit of Truth will become our Master and Teacher, to lead us into all truths found in the Life of God.

We are saved by Grace through Faith. Heb 11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." The question that we must ask ourselves is, what does the Faith of Jesus Christ do for us and to us when we have it? Rev 14:12 "Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." The answer is, God will write the "Laws of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus," in our lives as they are written in the Life of Christ. God's Spiritual Laws, written in our life, will than Govern our New Way of Life, so that we will not sin against the Way God wants to live His Life in us. (Rom 8:2 NASB) "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death." When the Law of Life comes to us through the Gospel, it will establish the truth in us, that we must die to our sins. The truth that we must repenting and return to living the righteousness in the Life of Jesus Christ to receive His Salvation.

There is the only One Way that we can escape the death sentence that God pronounced for or transgressing His Holy Commandments. We must turn from living by the sin in us that is magnified by God's Holy Commandments. (Rom 7:13 KJV) "Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful." Sin that lives in our lives from transgressing the Laws of God. If one does not stop sinning and live the Righteous Life of God, found in His Holy Commandments, we are still dead because the power of the Law said the sinner will die. 1 Cor 15:56 "The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law;" (Rom 7:8-12 NASB) "But sin, taking opportunity through the commandment, produced in me coveting of every kind; for apart from the Law sin is dead. {9} And I was once alive apart from the Law; but when the commandment came, sin became alive, and I died; {10} and this commandment, which was to result in life, proved to result in death for me; {11} for sin, taking opportunity through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me. {12} So then, the Law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good."

One must repent of sin to be saved through their Faith in Jesus Christ.

(Rom 5:20-21 NASB) "And the Law came in that the transgression might increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, {21} that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." The standard teaching in most churches is that the Grace of God is the un-merited favour of God that allows a person not to repent of sin, but to continue to live a life of lawlessness because he believes that God is. Yes, God is, and it was God who said; "don't you realize that you also will perish unless you leave your evil ways and turn to God?" (Luke 13:3 TLB)

The Law defines sin, so everyone can know just what sin is, and will be able to avoid it through their Faith in Jesus Christ to study and obey His Teachings. (Rom 7:13 KJV) "Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful." Living outside of the Laws of Life in Christ Jesus, is sin and sin brings death. Living outside of God's Life, is what produces death in us in the first place. Sin in our life is the sting of death. Many claim to have salvation in a Righteous Kingdom that is without sin or death, when death is still reigning in their life because they are still doing what the Law shows them they should not be doing. They are still transgressing the Laws of God, that brought death to Adam and all men born of Adam.

Why do people who claim to believe in Jesus Christ still keep on sinning with no fear of God's destruction.? Because they do not see or understand from the Word of God, what sin is doing to them. Sin is death to the Life of Christ being in us. They have no fear of sin because they have been taught by church leaders that are still dead in their sins, by not keeping the Commandments that contain the Spirit of God's Life that was living in Christ Jesus. Sin is death living in a person who practices sin. Sin is not exceedingly sinful, as they have been taught they are alive in Christ Jesus, just because they believe in Christ and attend a Church.

Without obedience to live the Righteous Spirit of Life in Christ, it is impossible to please God and receive the Anointing called Christ. A person who knows that he will die, if he practices sin, is a fool, or he is lying to himself when he says he knows God's Holy Ways. One must hate evil as Jesus hated evil, to enter the Kingdom of God. One of the requirements to please God and receive His Anointing that makes the person the Son of God, is to hate evil and Love the Righteous Spirit of Christ found only in the God of Israel's Words.

(Mat 22:37-38 KJV) "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. {38} This is the first and great commandment."

The Judgements of God's Righteous Kingdom demands that a person die for their own sins at the judgement set of God. If they do not repent and turn from doing evil, through obedience to the Faith of Jesus Christ, to deliver them from their sins, they will die the second death for their own sins. (Col 1:21 KJV) "And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled" Only when we are once again living the same Righteous life that lives in God, are we reconciled to having the Life of God. (Rev 3:21 KJV) "To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne." (Luke 13:2-3 TLB) "Do you think they were worse sinners than other men from Galilee?" he asked. "Is that why they suffered? {3} Not at all! And don't you realize that you also will perish unless you leave your evil ways and turn to God?"

God has a gift for everyone who will forsake his own evil will and do the will of God that leads to a Pure Life in Jesus Christ. The gift is Eternal Life in the Kingdom of God. If we continue to live a life apart from the Spirit of God's Holy Life, a life that made a person a sinner, we cannot be Anointed as His Sons. We have chosen to live the Evil life that is against God's Holy Life. Satan is the god of all people who chose to live the same life of rebellion that he lives. The Laws of God's Righteous Spirit of Life demands that the Laws of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus be established in our lives as the Spiritual Laws that Govern the Spiritual Life of every Son Born with God's Life living in Him. Heb 8:10 "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:"

The Word of God does not teach that a person who has the law of sin and death living in him, can at the same time, have the Law of the Spirit of Life that was in Christ Jesus, living in him. There is no sin in the Son of God. The Word teaches that we are saved by Grace through Faith. Grace can only "reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (1 John 5:12 NASB) "He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life." (1 John 3:4-6 NASB) "Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness. {5} And you know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin. {6} No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him."

No one can know the Life of God living in them as a Friend, unless he is a Friend to the Life of God in Jesus Christ.

God loves those as a Friend, who love Him as a Friend. One cannot be God's Friend unless he knows God and God knows him. (1 John 2:4-7 KJV) "He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. {5} But who so keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. {6} He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. {7} Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning." What is the old Commandments that we are to keep? "The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning." How much of the Old Commandment, which is the Word of God, are we to keep and live our lives by? Mat 4:4 But he (Jesus Christ) answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

How many of the Laws that Govern the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus have past away already? Does God still demand that we live our life as He Lives His Life? Can we be His Friend when we live as outlaws to His Way of Life? James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world isenmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. (Mat 5:17-20 KJV) "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. {18} For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. {19} Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. {20} For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven."

Just the keeping of the law cannot save a person. The Laws of God was given to show man that he had transgressed the Holy Life of his Creator.

Acts 13:10 "And said, O full of all subtlety and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?" (1 John 3:4 KJV) "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law." Rom 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death." Rom 3:31 "Do we then make void the law through faith? Godforbid: yea, we establish the law." (Acts 3:19 KJV) "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;" (Rom 7:7-12 NASB) "What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? May it never be! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, "YOU SHALL NOT COVET." {8} But sin, taking opportunity through the commandment, produced in me coveting of every kind; for apart from the Law sin is dead.

Jesus came as a man an fulfil the Spirit of the Laws of Life in Christ and to keep all of God's Holy Commandment that contain Everlasting. Life if a man keeps them. (Rom 7:14 KJV) "For we know that the law is spiritual." (John 12:50 KJV) "And I know that his commandment is life everlasting." Jesus lived His life by living it in the Spirit of the Law. By fulfilling the Spirit of the Laws of God, in His life, by living his life in the Spirit of God's Holy Laws, he proved to all men who would only believe in Him and His Father, that they to could fulfil all the Righteousness in the Spiritual Laws of God. First they would have to know God's Word, in order to know the teaching of Christ.

(2 Tim 2:15 KJV) "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." If one think that they can keep the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus, without keeping the Spirit of the Laws of God contained in His Holy Commandment as Jesus did, your not worshipping the God of Israel. One must have the same righteous life living in you that was living in Jesus before He received His Father's Anointing. The Jewish Bible does not teach that one can continue to defile the Temple of God with sin and still receive Salvation. It teaches just the opposite, The person who has sin in their Temple, God will destroy.

(1 Cor 3:16-17 KJV) "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelteth in you? {17} If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are." If one defiles the "Life of God" living in you, with sin, you are dead because you transgressed the Ten Commandments. (Rom 8:1 KJV) who "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." One is not in Christ if they are not walking in the Spirit (living the life) of the Law giver. They cannot walk in the Spirit of the Law giver, unless they are keeping His Holy Laws that He walks in. To not walk in the Holy Sprit found in God's Holy Laws, is Carnality. A life that is not subject to the Holy Laws of God. (1 Pet 1:15-16 KJV) "But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; {16} Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy."

John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." A man is only free from the sin of living outside of God's Righteous Laws when he is Righteous as God is Righteous. 1 John 3:7 "Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous." When a man is Righteous as He is Righteous, the blood of Jesus Christ covers all his past sin from not having lived God's Righteous Life. 1 John 1:7 "But if we walk in the light, as` he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." One cannot have been cleansed by the Blood of Jesus Christ, if that man is still walking in darkness because of the sin in his life he lives. If one has sin in him, he is not walking in the Light as Christ is in the Light. (1 John 3:5 KJV) "And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin."

A man is reconciled to the Life of God, by the Life from God once again living in him through him, through his obedience to fulfil the Righteousness in the Life of Christ Jesus. By living the Righteousness that belongs to God's Life, he has passed from death to life. If we too live our life in the Righteousness of the Father's Life, contained in the Spiritual Commandments of God, as Jesus did, we too will have destroyed the power of sin that kills everyone that transgresses the Laws of Life in God. The law of sin and death will cease to have any power over our New Life in Christ. Rom 5:21 "That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord."

We will be Reigning through the Grace we have received when we live our life in His Righteousness. (Rom 5:19-21 KJV) "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. {20} Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: {21} That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord." (Rom 6:1-2 KJV) "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? {2} God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein ?"

If we do not stop living a life of disobedience to the Hioly Spirit of God's Righteous Holy Way of Life, or we return to our former life of sin after we have repented of the sin of transgressing the Spiritual Laws of God, by not keeping His Righteous Commandments, sin still reigns in us that brings the second death. We will not, and do not, have the Grace of God that reigns through righteousness unto eternal life. Luke 13:3 "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."

It will be better for the man who never accepted Jesus Christ as Saviour, then for the man who did and than not live the Righteousness of God's Life contained in the Commandments.

Our condition with God on His Judgement day would have been better if we had never received His Righteous Commandments through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, than to have received them and not live in them. Jesus Christ wants to be our Friend. If we refuse to die to the life of sin that we are born with, a life that is an enemy of God's Righteous Life, we cannot become His Spiritual Friend. If we chose to be an Enemy of God by continuing to live a carnal life, we will die the second death as we are not reborn of His Righteous Life. (2 Pet 2:20-22 NASB) "For if after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. {21} For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from the holy commandment delivered to them. {22} It has happened to them according to the true proverb, "A DOG RETURNS TO ITS OWN VOMIT," and, "A sow, after washing, returns to wallowing in the mire."

If we repent of our sin, the sin of living our life outside of God's Perfect Will, we will die to our old life of sin, and gain His Life and Friendship. We will have saved our Life ny dying to our sin nature. Only by doing what His every Word said to do, can we again be free from the law of sin and death. Psa 40:8 "I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart. 2 Cor 3:17 "Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." By doing only God's will, we will have the Holy Spirit in the Law of Life that gives us Liberty as we are free a life of sin.

If we read His every Words and live by them, we will be raised from the Spiritually dead in this life, and raised from the physically dead at the time Christ returns for all those who have the Life of Christ, living in them. The next questions that we must ask is, how do we live the Righteous Life that was living in Jesus Christ? And what is the Righteous Life of God that must be found living in us and where is it found? The Righteousness in God's Holy Life is found only in the Spirit of God's Holy Commandments, that were delivered to the people of Israel. They are given to the gentiles when they join themselves to Spiritual Nation of Israel, found in the Bible. When we repent of sin, as defined by the Laws God gave to Israel, we accept the Laws of the King of the Jews, who gave us Spiritual His Laws to rule over us, as our Saviour.

"It had been better for them not to have known the way of Righteousness".

(2 Pet 2:20-21 KJV) "For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. {21} For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them."

(James 1:21-25 NASB) "Therefore putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls. {22} But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. {23} For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; {24} for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was. {25} But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man shall be blessed in what he does."

The Righteousness Life in Christ Jesus is found in the Spirit of God's Holy Commandments written in His Holy Bible. The Righteous Spiritual Life of Jesus Christ will be found to be living in us when we keep the Holy Commandments as Jesus kept His Father's Holy Commandments. The New Life from the Father's Spiritual Commandments was found to be living in Jesus called the Christ. (John 14:10-11 TLB) "Don't you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I say are not my own but are from my Father who lives in me. And he does his work through me. {11} Just believe it--that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or else believe it because of the mighty miracles you have seen me do."

(John 15:9-10 KJV) "As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. {10} If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love." If we do not keep the Commandments that God gave to us through Jesus Christ, His Son, than we are not His Friend and we do not have a Love for the Father or a Love for the Son of God. It is His Love for us, and our Love for Him, that allows the Christ to live in us and gives us everything that we ask for that is according to His Will. We are not God's Friend, but His Enemy if we do not Love Him enough to keep His Commandments.

(James 4:3-4 NASB) "You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures. {4} You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God."

(1 John 3:3-6 NASB) "And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. {4} Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness. {5} And you know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin. {6} No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him."

To become a Friend of God, we must die to self and live for God.

The outstanding relationship that we see with the Master and the servant that He calls a Friend, is that the Master has made known unto them as His Friend, all things that he has heard from His Father. We see the fulfilment of this teaching in the promise that Christ made to Jesus, the obedient Son of God, that only does the Will of the Father. (John 16:13-15 NASB) "But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. {14} "He shall glorify Me; for He shall take of Mine, and shall disclose it to you. {15} All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said, that He takes of Mine, and will disclose it to you."

Faith without doing the works of a Friend to God is dead. Abraham had works and he was called the Friend of God.

(James 2:15-26 KJV) "If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, {16} And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? {17} Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. {18} Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works. {19} Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. {20} But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? {21} Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? {22} Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? {23} And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. {24} Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. {25} Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? {26} For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also."

Moses was a Friend of God because he obeyed God, and God talked to him face to face.

(Exo 33:11 NASB) "Thus The LORD used to speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend. When Moses returned to the camp, his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, would not depart from the tent." (2 Chr 20:7 NASB) "Didst Thou not, O our God, drive out the inhabitants of this land before Thy people Israel, and give it to the descendants of Abraham Thy friend forever?" (Gen 26:4-5 KJV) "And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; {5} Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws." Exo 19:5 "Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

(Isa 41:8-10 NASB) "But you, Israel, My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen," Descendant of Abraham My friend, {9} You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, And called from its remotest parts, And said to you, 'You are My servant, I have chosen you and not rejected you. {10} 'Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. ."

To be God's Friend, by having the Life of God living in us, we must live in the Spirit of His Word.

The question that we must ask ourselves is, are we a Friend of God? If not, what must we do to become a Friend of God? What did Paul, Peter, Moses and Abraham do? The answer is, we too must obey His Spiritual Will found in the Words that He wrote in His Holy Book. Remember, God gives His Holy Spirit to them that obey Him by keeping His Spiritual Laws. That how He gives His Spirit to them. All people who say that they are born again and are not obeying Him by living the Righteousness in God's Laws, as all His friends do, are not His Friends nor or are they born again, as they are not obeying God by doing God's Perfect Will. "It was after he had proved himself perfect in this experience that Jesus became the Giver of eternal salvation to all those who obey him." (Acts 5:31-32 KJV) "Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. {32} And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him."

A person will have a witness in himself that the Holy Spirit is now living in him as the Christ. If their are no Works from the Life of Christ from within than the Christ is not living in him. (John 10:34-38 TLB) "In your own Law it says that men are gods!" he replied. {35} "So if the Scripture, which cannot be untrue, speaks of those as gods to whom the message of God came, {36} do you call it blasphemy when the one sanctified and sent into the world by the Father says, 'I am the Son of God'? {37} Don't believe me unless I do miracles of God. {38} But if I do, believe them even if you don't believe me. Then you will become convinced that the Father is in me, and I in the Father."

Living our life in the Life of God as a branch on His Tree of Life.

"Take care to live in me, and let me live in you." (John 15:1-8 TLB) "I am the true Vine, and my Father is the Gardener. {2} He lops off every branch that doesn't produce. And he prunes those branches that bear fruit for even larger crops. {3} He has already tended you by pruning you back for greater strength and usefulness by means of the commands I gave you. {4} Take care to live in me, and let me live in you. For a branch can't produce fruit when severed from the vine. Nor can you be fruitful apart from me. {5} "Yes, I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in me and I in him shall produce a large crop of fruit. For apart from me you can't do a thing. {6} If anyone separates from me, he is thrown away like a useless branch, withers, and is gathered into a pile with all the others and burned. {7} But if you stay in me and obey my commands, you may ask any request you like, and it will be granted! {8} My true disciples produce bountiful harvests. This brings great glory to my Father."

Rom 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Sin by God's definition is not keep His Temple free from sin Living by His every Word is the only was to keep sin out of His Temple, whose Temple we are. To live in Him, one must obey Him in all His Teachings and Commandments. "if you stay in me and obey my commands, you may ask any request you like, and it will be granted!" (John 10:35 TLB) -"The Scripture, which cannot be untrue." -- Mat 5:18 "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." If the scriptures are not being fulfilled by the Life of God living in you as a New Birth, than the Spirit of Life called God, who is the Father of the Spirit of Life living in all His Sons, is not the Spirit in you. (John 3:6-7 KJV) "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. {7} Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."

Every Work pertaining to the Works of the Holy Spirit of LIFE, called the Father, are produced by God's Life, living in a Righteous man. The Works of the Father were produced in the Life of Jesus Christ, but only after He had obeyed God in every detail, and received the Anointing called Christ. Only after Jesus was reconciled to God by God's Life again living in Him by the Anointing, did Jesus become the Christ, the Son of God. The man Jesus fulfilled every teaching and commandment written in the Books of the Law, that He, Himself, gave to the Nation of Israel for their salvation from sin. Every promise that is written in the Word, came true in the Life of the Man Jesus, because He obeyed His Father's every Word. He was born again from the Spirit of Life, called the Father, when the Father Anointed Jesus, His physical Son, with His Holy Spirit of Life, making Jesus the Christ, a Spiritual Son of God.

The servant is not greater that the Master.

(Heb 5:7-9 TLB) "Yet while Christ was here on earth he pleaded with God, praying with tears and agony of soul to the only one who would save him from (premature) death. And God heard his prayers because of his strong desire to obey God at all times. {8} And even though Jesus was God's Son, he had to learn from experience what it was like to obey when obeying meant suffering. {9} It was after he had proved himself perfect in this experience that Jesus became the Giver of eternal salvation to all those who obey him." If Jesus had to obey the Father's every Command and desire to please Him, we will have to do the same. Every request that He has made of us in His Word, will enable us to live His Pure Life. We must pleases Christ to be chosen of Him.. 1 John 3:3 "And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure."
