The oneness of the God of Israel

By Robert O. Sanford

The Oneness of the God of Israel.

The Bible that Jesus Christ gave to mankind to establish the same Faithfulness He had to His Father, whom He called God the Father, is the only authority that a person can use if he is truly going to be called a Christian by the Biblical definition as being an Anointed Son. (1 Cor 14:33 KJV) "For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints." (Heb 5:9 KJV) "And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;" From these two scriptures, we see that God the Father is the Author of our believes and of our salvation, and our salvation is only by obedience to His teachings. Jesus Christ, who came to earth to show mankind the Eternal Holy Ways of the Father, was not the Father, but the Son of the Father He called God. (Mat 27:46 KJV) "And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"

Jesus Christ was declared by the Scriptures to be Jehovah God, the person through whom God the Father Created the World. (1 John 1:1-4 NRSV) We declare to you what was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the word of life-- {2} this life was revealed, and we have seen it and testify to it, and declare to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us-- {3} we declare to you what we have seen and heard so that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. {4} We are writing these things so that our joy may be complete.

From these scriptures, we can see from the words of Apostle John, that Jesus Christ, the Son of God was a separate entity from the Father. As we know in our own reproduction system that God established in His First and only earthly Son born of Him on earth, that Adam was the only man ever created by God. There has only been one man born of God on earth and that man was Adam. Every other person called man, was born of that one man. All thought there is only one man on earth, there are six billion of us now living on earth, born of that one man. Jesus Christ, could only breath into Adam, the same breath of Life that He had living in Him from His Father. The Life breathed into Adam was the same Life Jesus Christ had received from His Father in the beginning. (Luke 3:38 KJV) "Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God." That One Life force called "God" living in His' Sons in heaven and earth, is the one and only Life force called God. From that one Life force called God, everything came into existence in heaven and on earth through His first Son, Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ was born of the One and only True God, and He was the Son of God. It was the creative power of the One and only True God, who we know as the Father that gave His Eternal Life, and the creative power of His Life to His Son, Jesus Christ. His Life lived in the person of Jesus Christ as the Son of God's Life, made Jesus Christ God, as He was the Son of God. It was the Father's Life Force, living in Jesus Christ, that created the world when God, the Son of God, spoke the Father's Words that came from the Father's Life within Him.

(John 1:1-5 NRSV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. {2} He was in the beginning with God. {3} All things came into being through him, and without him not one thing came into being. What has come into being {4} in him was life, and the life was the light of all people. {5} The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.

We can see this very principle in the following scripture where Jesus Christ call mankind, the Sons of God also. How could Jesus Christ call the Son of Man, Gods? It was He who breathed His Father's Life into man. He breathed the same Life He had received from the Father that made Him God, the Son of God, into man. (John 10:34-38 NRSV) Jesus answered, "Is it not written in your law, 'I said, you are gods'? {35} If those to whom the word of God came were called 'gods'--and the scripture cannot be annulled-- {36} can you say that the one whom the Father has sanctified and sent into the world is blaspheming because I said, 'I am God's Son'? {37} If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me. {38} But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father."

(Deu 6:4-6 KJV) "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: {5} And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. {6} And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:" All persons who follow the Jewish religion that was given to the Commonwealth of Israel and keep the Holy Covenants given to them, as His only chosen people on earth, knows that the God of Israel is only one God, through whom all life in the universe comes from. The Jewish Religion in the Jewish Bible does not have three separate person who are different gods in their own right. There is not a mother god, a son god, and a father god as the Pagans Religions teach. The Pagans worship individual people as gods in their own right, and attribute to them special powers that define the part of nature that their god represents. Not so in the Religion of the God of Israel. There is only One God, the Father of all the Sons. All the Sons, including Jesus Christ, bows before the Father, God. That is why the Jewish Bible says there is only One God to worship. He is the Father of mankind who were created in His Image, as His Life dwells in them to give them life.

The Pagan Religion of Rome, had their three individual people, who were gods that they worshipped. They now attribute to Mary, the mother of Jesus the man, the same type of worship that they did in their nature worship to the mother of fertility. In the Bibles translated by Roman Catholics, we have the celebration of Easter written in, as a Christian Holiday. In reality, the Goddess Easter is the ancient goddess of fertility, known as the queen of heaven in the Old Testament. (Jer 44:25 KJV) "Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows." There are only Two persons called God that we are to worship. The Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. The Father as the source of all life. the Son as the one who leads us to the Source of all Life. The Son, Jesus Christ worshipped His Father only.

The Israelites had taken on the Pagan form of worshipping the One True God of Israel, that the Pagans in Egypt used to worshipped their three gods that they referred to as their Trinity of gods. The father, mother, and the son, a very human form of worship. In Mat 28:19, we read; "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." In the Catholic Religion, they claim that Mary is the Holy Ghost, the mother of god. The original rendering of this verse is; "in my name". It was Eusebius, a Catholic priest that changed the words in the Bible to agree with the Pagan Roman Church who believed in the three gods.

One may ask, why did the Church we know as the Protestant Church, go along with such teachings. The reason is that the Protestant Church has its origin in the Pagan Church of Rome. The Catholic Priests who rebelled against the Catholic Church, were just trying to reform the Catholic Church, by make it more compatible to the Bible in order to over throw the bondage of the Catholic clergy. The just wanted to reform their Religion to bring it more into line with the teachings of the Christian Religion that had come to Rome by Paul. It never was their intention to establish the Worship of Jewish Messiah, as their only form of worshipping the Father and God of the Lord, Jesus Christ.

(John 4:21-22 KJV) "Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. {22} Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews." No person who calls himself a Christian, who worships the gods of the Pagans, know who they are worshipping. If they did, they would not worship the Devils that Pagans worship. In the Jewish or Christian Religion, God's people who practice Idolatry in their worship, the worship of any Pagan god, worshipped through Religious celebration that they participate in, are blinded by the God of Israel. What are these celebrations? Sun-Day Worship, Christmas, Easter and all the rest of the Pagan Holidays that cane into the Christian Church from the Roman Pagan Church.

(Eph 2:10-21 KJV) "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. {11} Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; {12} That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: {13} But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. {14} For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; {15} Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; {16} And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: {17} And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. {18} For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. {19} Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; {20} And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; {21} In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:"

From the above passages, we can see that we Gentiles, who were excluded from the Salvation that is only found in the Commonwealth of Israel, and in the Holy Covenant that God made with His people, Israel, have been made one with the Jewish people that God is saving. He is taking a people out of all Nations for His Eternal Kingdom. How is He doing this? By taking them into the Commonwealth of Israel and making them a part of His Holy Covenant that He Sealed with His Blood. He is doing this through the Gentiles accepting the Jewish Messiah as their own Lord and Master also.

(Isa 56:1-2 KJV) "Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. {2} Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil." (Isa 56:6-7 KJV) "Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; {7} Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people."

One God only in the Old Covenant.

(Mal 2:10 KJV) "Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?"

Only One God in the New Testament also.

(Mark 12:29-30 KJV) "And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: {30} And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment."

(Rom 3:29-31 KJV) "Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: {30} Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. {31} Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law."

(1 Cor 8:5-7 KJV) "For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) {6} But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. {7} Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled."

(Eph 4:5-6 KJV) "One Lord, one faith, one baptism, {6} One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all."

(1 Tim 2:4-5 KJV) "Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. {5} For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;"

(James 2:19 KJV) "Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble." The reason that the Devil trembles, is that he to must come before that One True God and be judged fore his transgressions of that One Holy God's Laws.

There is only One True God. That God is the God of Israel. He is the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ, of whom all the Sons of God and the Sons of man have their source of Life. Jesus as the son of man, worshipped the God of Israel, only. As the Christ of God, the Son of God, He only Worshipped His Father in Heaven.

(Mat 23:9 KJV) "And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven."
