Clay Walker Visits Kentucky

My Dream Come True

Last summer I found out that Clay Walker was coming to Kentucky. For me this was a dream come true. I just had to find a way to get there. I had two weeks to plan for the concert and the first thing I had to do was find a way to get there. After asking many people to make the long trip, My Aunt and her friend agreed to take me. The day of the concert finally arrived, I was so nervous. We had a long drive ahead of us, so we left my house at 2:00. The concert was scheduled to start at 8 P.M. We had a difficult time trying to find the motel, because the one that we had reservations at forgot to tell my friend Ann that they had changed the name. After about an hour of searching we finally found our hotel. I was so nervous afraid that I would miss the concert. We only had 10 minutes left to get there. We were all hurrying up stairs to our rooms trying our best to get there on time. When we got down stairs the cab driver told us that he is oly supposed to have 4 people in his cab. So we started begging because there were 5 of us. Finally, he agreed and we all got in. When we arrived at the concert Terri Clark was signing, she sang for about an hour then when I realized it was time for Clay to come out I walked down close to the stage hoping to be able to give Clay a birthday card, but the guard would not let me. When Clay walked out on stage, my aunt said I froze like a statue. She finally got me to move and I took some pictures. When I made it back to my seat, I never sat down. I screamed and clapped through it all. When it was over I went and bought one of each shirt they had, a key chain, picture and a calender. It was the best time of my whole life.
