Taylor haddn't caught up with her after she took off.  
He figured it would be better if he just left her alone
untill she was ready to let him talk to her.
   Now, as Taylor saw Isaac pull up in the driveway, he
walked over to him.
   "Tay, what happened?  I just saw Veronica runing off
in that direction," he looked over to his side where he
had seen her running.
   "Come inside, I'll explain what happened," Tay said
and then sighed at the thought of what happened.
   Isaac sat down in one of the small armchairs in the
living room.  "So, come on, what happened?"
   "Well, she came over a little after you left and
we went to the tree house and were sitting up thier
talking," he paused for a moment, then continued,
"I started to tell her about my dream, but when I
saw the look on her face, I stopped.  She told me 
that she liked me, but she couldn't look me in the face,
so when we made eye contact, I-I," he had been speaking
quite fast.
   "Whoa, slow down there little bro."
   Taylor took a deep breath and began again, this time
talking slower and more calmly, "I kissed her, Ike.  I
don't know why, I just did, I mean you know that I normaly
would NOT do that, but I did, I actually did Ike, and 
I regret it, but only because I think it upsetted 
Veronica." his voice trailed off.
   "You kissed her?"  Isaac shook his head in disbelief.
"Tay, you've barely known her for a couple of days, and
you kissed her?" he repeated.
   Taylor stared at the floor.  Not saying anything, for
he could not think of anything to say.
   "So, why was she running away?  'Cause you kissed her?"
   "After I leaned in to kiss her, only a peck, she kissed
back, but then afterward, she jumped down from the tree 
house and took off running, I tried to run after her, but 
I couldn't catch up."
   Taylor thought silently to himself, Ah, man, he 
sighed, I cant believe I did that.  Ugh, now shes gonna 
hate me.

   Later that night:
   Taylor lay asleep on his bottom bunk.  Thoughts of 
Veronica filled his mind.  He beagn to dream about her...
   Taylor was walking aloneside the same river he had in 
the dream the previous night.
   He sat down in the dirt, surprisingly, it was quite 
warm outside.  He could smell the nearby water.
   He had a sudden urge to walk by the water.  As he walked,
he looked upon the midnight-blue water.  It sent chills
through out his body, almost forcing him to turn away.
   Taylor walked with the river for several minutes.  Be-
hind him, he heard a girls voice; Veronica's voice.
   "May I walk with you?"  She stood there, waiting for a
responce.
   "Sure," he replied.
   They walked in silence for what seemed like an hour to 
Taylor, he finally broke the silence by saying, "Look,
Veronica, I'm sorry, sorry about erlier today."
   "What?  Waht are you talking about, you have nothing to
be sorry for, unless you just kissed me to make me feel 
better," she got quieter as she said the last word.
   He kept walking, not talking his eyes of her, "I kissed
you because-" he then tripped before he could finish his
sentence.  Franticly tring to catch himself, he slipped
and fell off the side where it dropped about a foot into 
the water.
   With a big splash, he hit the water.  Veronica had 
dissapeared.  He looked around, trying to find something
to grab onto.  Taylor's feet couldn't tuch the bottom.
He tried to swim to the side, but it was too late, the 
current had already gotten to him.  Pulling him farther
and farther down the river.  
   Soon it became hard to breath, Taylor, both scared 
and confused, struggled to breath.  Everything got
blurry, his lungs felt as though they were about to explode.
His head throbbed, the pain in his head seemed nothing 
compared to his lungs.
   It seemed only an instant after all the pain and blurry
thoughts that flashed through his head before everything 
went black.
   He awoke, in trumendus pain, he tried to move, but 
couldn't find the strength.  As he looked around him, he 
saw not the comforting home he'd thought he'd fallen asleep 
in, but a hospital bed.
