These are a few of the paintings my sister, brother and I have done during the winter of 1998/99 at the watercolor class we enjoy attending together. At the upper left is Bill's London Bridge, created from one of his own snap shots. Bill is four years older than I am and quite color blind with very poor vision, yet, his sense of color and value is remarkable. His paintings have an inner glow that he probably can't even see! The camera does not do this painting justice. Below is Joelle's Prickly Pear Cactus, it's a fun, joyful, colorful and exciting painting of an unnusual subject. Joelle is the youngest of us and a very talented artist. The lower left portrait is my painting of Liam, our newest grandson. This painting was done from the Christmas card his parents sent out this year and "Grandma" added the whimsical animals and enlarged the Santa hat to give it my own personal touch. What fun is is for the three of us to share this evening of painting, it's a pity our older sister is unable to join the fun....all families should be as fortunate as we are in being able to find an activity to enjoy together.
