We have arrived! Convo '99 has begun.
Some of us left home before dawn this morning. Some of us flew, others drove.
But we are here and have begun to reconnect with old friends, and are making new ones.
After registration
some of us had a little free time for some sightseeing.
We gathered for
dinner at John Jay Hall.
(Everywhere we
look are signs of history!)
Then came the
evening get together and worship.
We prayed that
we could learn from this incredibly busy and energetic city...
and to be able
to give something back.

evening worship...
where we talked
about our expectations
and what we hope
to take home with us on Sunday.
Keynote speaker
Ron Sider challenged us that God has no backup plan- 
only Christians.
We are to live
as Jesus taught- 
and the world will be different.
The evening ended
with a Coffee House in the lounge of Furnald Hall and devotions on each
floor.
Thursday is another
