Be sure to get your butt down there to get an early look at this cool conversion. June 12 THQ today announced that it has signed a 10-year exclusive agreement with Titan Sports Inc. to publish World Wrestling Federation (WWF) electronic games on all platforms, including the N64. "This deal underscores that commitment to deliver top quality games on a variety of platforms for a long time with the red-hot WWF," said Brian J. Farrell, president and CEO, THQ. THQ, the current holder of the WCW/NWO licenses is working on two N64 wrestling games under that agreemen -- but it will lose this license to Electronics Arts in June 1999. The acquisition of the 10-year exclusive WWF license represents a major coup for the company and should help THQ maintain its current position as the premier wrestling game developer. The new WWF wrestling games will be designed, developed, manufactured and marketed by THQ/JAKKS Pacific, a 50/50 joint venture of THQ and the toy manufacturer JAKKS Pacific. Look for the first WWF titles from THQ for release toward the end of 1999. June 6 Here are the releases according to their dates for Japan.
